Product Overview

SmarterU is an extensible learning management system (LMS) by Neovation, a leading provider of affordable, user-friendly cloud applications. Centered around the learner’s experience, SmarterU has training solutions that can be tailored to meet any business’s needs.

SmarterU offers numerous scalable features that are fully configurable to meet the needs of your company. The software has a user-friendly interface with customizable elements such as branded portals, sub-account branding, portal URLs and certificate completion.

Below are other notable tools SmarterU provides companies to streamline training-material creation, distribution and management:

Dashboards – Executive and supervisory dashboards allow you to measure the progress and performance of learners and drill down into data to discover insights and create reports. SmartGrids easily filter and sort information so you only see what’s key for your organization.

Course Builder – An integrated course builder lets you create and manage instructional pages, flashcards, quizzes, exams and more for employees to learn effectively. SmarterGames is an interactive tool that drives home training concepts in a fun, dynamic game setting. You can also upload videos to YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

Course Enrollment – There are many options for learners to enroll into various courses. Through SmarterU, learners can self-enroll, administrators can enroll a team or a group, or groups can be automatically enrolled. Notifications of new courses or course availability can be sent to employees on waiting lists.

Course Catalog – Along with the online and self-enrollment options, the course catalog is a database where users can glance over available courses. You can easily see all the course options in a calendar view or a grid view, and the software automatically offers recommended courses based on your interests and past courses taken.

Knowledge Base – The knowledge base is a documentation library and resource database that has free-form search options and allows you to define folder-level permissions. You’ll be able to upload and download files, as well as use “what you see is what you get” (WYSIWYG) article templates to create wiki-styled articles.

Learning Plans – SmarterU offers learning-plan templates to help you jump start your training-course creation. These templates also let you assign courses to as many learners as you want, track learners’ completed training tasks, and track cross-plan credentials along with recall dates.

Learner Alerts & Notifications – Alerts and notifications keep learners on track with their course tasks. Some types of notifications that can automatically be sent out are enrollment, absence or failure to attend, 24-hour training session reminders, attendance confirmation, due date reminders and an available sessions alert if a learner is on the waiting list.

Reporting – With robust reporting functions, SmarterU makes it simple to drill down into information and present insights through a variety of report types. Some preset reports include learner report, quiz analysis report, group report, team report and supervisory report. Reports can be exported as CSV files.

Role Automation – Through a certification dashboard, the role automation functions allow you to easily define roles, requirements and certifications within courses. Once tasks are finished or credentials obtained, the user automatically receives a certificate of completion.
