Product Overview

Epignosis specializes in developing flexible, efficient and affordable eLearning solutions for companies of all types and sizes. Epignosis’ suite of products includes TalentLMS, an award winning cloud LMS; TalentCards, a micro-learning solution for delivering bite-sized training; and eFront, an advanced enterprise-grade LMS that will be the focus of this review.

eFront is an eLearning solution built for helping large and enterprise organizations train their employees and their extended network. It can be deployed either on-premise as a private intranet on Windows and Linux operating systems or via a private cloud where it can accommodate an unlimited number of users for a flat fee.

eFront comes with an advanced set of customization options, including a branded URL and a user-friendly website builder. Content-wise, it provides excellent support for a blended learning approach, allowing users to combine online courses with ILT sessions whether classroom-based or via video conferencing.

eFront supports a wide range of native integrations with conferencing tools, payment gateways, authentication providers and all apps supported by Zapier. Furthermore, eFron can be integrated with any third-party system through its application program interface (API) engine. eFront is available in 22 different languages with the option to enforce all necessary vocabulary overrides.

We talk more about eFront in our Features sections below.

We also want to briefly mention Epignosis’s other eLearning solutions, TalentLMS and TalentCards.

TalentLMS is a cloud-based learning management system intended for use by businesses and organizations of all types and sizes. It is highly customizable and scalable, and shares many advanced features with eFront, like extensive support for gamification, eCommerce, blended learning and video conferencing.

TalentCards is an advanced mobile-learning solution that delivers microlearning content via smart learning cards. These cards can be enriched with bite-sized information in the form of text, image, video, audio or hyperlinks, and combined into sets to produce topic-specific training for different audiences. TalentCards also offers rich gamification features and post-course evaluation and reporting options.

eFront allows instructors to build rich courses by importing content from different sources and in various formats (e.g., SCORM, TinCan, HTML5, docs, videos, YouTube, etc.). eFront also offers a powerful assessment engine that supports multiple types of questions, quizzes, assignments, surveys, and tests with extensive reporting options on all results.

Training managers can create learning paths for assigning courses to learners according to user-specific attributes and given training requirements.

eFront enables social learning by offering discussion forums for employees to network and discuss training matters with their peers and trainers. eFront also packs a powerful gamification engine that allows learners to win points and badges, and have their accomplishments shown on leaderboards.

Administrators can create custom certificates to be awarded to employees upon completing a course. They can also keep track of which learners need to be re-certified or go through additional training on specific topics.

eFront comes with extensive analytics and reporting features. These allow managers and administrators to specify the areas in which their employee-training should focus most as well as determine the overall success of a training program.

eFront supports e-commerce for companies that want to sell their training modules to interested parties outside of their organization (e.g., customers or clients). Prospective learners can sign up and pay for individual courses and course bundles via PayPal, Stripe, U-Pay, CashEnvoy or any one of the checkout options supported by FoxyCart. eFront also enables sellers to offer discounts, moneyless payments, and virtual credits.
