Wisetail LMS At A Glance

Good: Advanced intuitive UI and a department dedicated to customer experience.
Bad: Not intended for companies with less than 200 users.
Bottom Line: Social, communication & community features within a robust LMS platform designed to drive engagement.

Product Overview

Wisetail combines award-winning learning management with unequaled customer support for organizations to create an online community. Administrators are able to develop and share content while investing in each learner’s personal and professional development.

Organizations are able to convey their culture, reward learners for positive behaviors and facilitate communication within their learning management system (LMS).

In addition to collaborative features, standard e-learning features include course content and reporting dashboards for organizations to gauge the skills and improvements of their employees.

Wisetail also offers a learning experience platform (LXP) for companies that want to give their employees personalized learning paths. It offers features, such as gamification, social collaboration, user contributions, content creation, custom branding and third-party systems integration.

Wisetail offers two add-on products: OnTrack (a digital checklist solution) and a Multi-Language Management solution. With OnTrack, managers can stay on top of their team’s operational processes with to-do lists, action plans and other features.

The Multi-Language Management solution lets organizations provide inclusive learning experiences to their employees. Employees can access training content in their preferred language. The software has built-in translation features, so learners can easily collaborate with each other regardless of language.

Wisetail has a number of dynamic features. Here, we’ve described four that best exemplify Wisetail’s strengths:

1. Learning Management: Course-authoring tools are built into the system so administrators can design their own courses. By blending course delivery with social features, Wisetail has created a platform that boosts employee engagement.

2. Social and Collaboration: Users are able to “Like” and rate content while discussing it together on a highly social platform. In addition, users are able to earn awards and badges from achievements, displaying each on their profiles. Announcements that broadcast company news and updates keep everyone in the loop.

3. User Experience: Wisetail is designed as a solution that’s branded for each individual client, including personalized widgets, a custom login page and a mobile responsive design. The solution is also very easy to navigate so users can reach any part of the system in two to three clicks.

4. Reporting and Analytics: A system activity report gives administrators an overview of what’s happening in the community, courses and user contributions. This helps the organization track the progress and growth of individual employees through dashboards and system metrics such as user transcripts.

The typical implementation timeline is 60 days, which includes a live one-day training typically hosted in Bozeman, MT called CoLab.

CoLab gives the Wisetail team a chance to develop a personal connection with clients and provide them with great, personalized training for setting up their new LMS and learning best practices.

All clients are given their own Client Experience representative as well. Implementation calls are first weekly, then biweekly, then monthly to ensure clients are gradually able to take control of the solution.

As a best-of-breed LMS, Wisetail connects seamlessly (via single sign-on [SSO], Web services, Security Assertion Markup Language [SAML], etc.) to other types of systems in the Talent Management space such as Human Resources Information Management (HRIS), Business Intelligence (BI), Point of Sale (POS), scheduling, applicant tracking and performance management. This can be executed based on a client’s need for movement between employee-facing systems and data sharing among systems.

Wisetail doesn’t publicly release its pricing information. Please contact them directly for a price quote.
