Product Overview

Oracle Talent Management Cloud is a talent management solution that includes features that help companies attract and retain talent, such as recruiting, learning, performance management and more. This review focuses on the Learning module of Oracle Talent Management Cloud, known as Oracle Learning Cloud.

The Oracle Learning Cloud module helps companies provide a successful growth and learning strategy to their employees in order to thrive in a changing business climate. It integrates traditional compliance-based learning with modern social learning.

Oracle Learning Cloud provides companies with the following benefits:

  • Contextual and embedded learning that’s based on a company’s specific business rules and needs
  • Managers have the tools to provide and track personalized learning paths in response to their team’s performance issues or career development opportunities
  • Employees become subject matter experts and provide colleagues with knowledge sharing in social learning environment
  • Automated compliance training (e.g., software alerts users when their certifications are up for renewal)
  • Accessible learning from any device, including when the device is offline

Features

Oracle Learning Cloud’s learning engine can be embedded within the other Oracle Talent Management Cloud modules, so learners can get additional training within those applications. For instance, the Career Development module can have training videos on specific job roles that the employee wants to move into within the company.

Oracle Learning Cloud supports all training methods, such as blended learning, classroom learning and online training.

It also includes social learning, where employees designated as subject matter experts can share knowledge with other users. Subject matter experts create their own content in a variety of media formats, such as video, images and documents. They can either share it privately with specific users or publicly with the whole team or company.

Managers can assign specific learning paths or training programs to their employees based on the employee’s performance or job role. Within the dashboard, managers can set deadlines for completing those courses and track employees’ learning progress. They can also run real-time reports on learner engagement and other metrics.

Employees that need to renew their certifications for compliance purposes receive automatic alerts that the certifications are up for renewal, as well as any assignments they need to complete. Those assignments can be set up by the administrator that’s based on the company’s processes.

There’s also the Oracle mobile app where learners and managers access learning plans and other features. It includes a recommendations engine that analyzes the learner’s profile and learning history to provide personalized additional learning recommendations.
