Product Overview

CD2 Learning is a cloud-based solution that combines learning management, content authoring and management, and talent management in one platform. The solution is scalable and customizable based on a client’s needs, and the platform can be branded with a company’s logo, tagline and colors.

Not only can clients create content using a variety of courses, they can also track employees’ learning, provide rewards that increase engagement and encourage employees to participate in social learning via collaboration.

As CD2 Learning is in the cloud, all its features are accessible from any device, including smartphones and tablets. Device-agnostic content can be created with HTML5 technology.

CD2 Learning is uniquely designed so all features are built into the solution. There’s no need to integrate it with another system, although CD2 Learning provides application program interface (API) and single-sign-on (SSO) capabilities.


CD2 Learning has tools for content authoring (creating content and courses), content management, learning management, social collaboration and talent management. Here are some of its unique features:

  • Role-based dashboards – Administrators have access to at-a-glance dashboards for tracking courses, user response, analytics and more. The dashboards can be configured based on roles.
  • Personal Learning Path – This feature helps employees improve their skills and knowledge on a specific course by automatically generating lessons based on the results of a test or assessment.
  • Innovator – The Innovator is a content authoring tool that allows users to create interactive content via a drag-and-drop interface.
  • Moment in Time – This tool allows users to quickly create content from any device and share it with others.
  • Gamification – Employees can earn badges or points for completing a lesson or test.
  • Social collaboration – Employees can participate in discussions on course content through either a public or private group. Users can create their own social profiles and attach content from social media. Each user is able to post threads, and others can comment and rate them. Administrators can also create various workflows that require collaboration with the Collaborative Process Map feature.

Users can create or upload images, videos, presentations and documents. They’re also able to pull content from social media. Bulk files can be uploaded at once with a drag-and-drop interface.

Content can be saved for future use. In addition, it’s available in multiple languages, a benefit for companies with global employees.

CD2 Learning can help companies increase revenue by offering training and educational content to external users (such as clients). External users can purchase and enroll in online or offline courses through an e-commerce store. CD2 Learning offers companies a course catalog and calendar that external users can view, as well as a wait list for offline courses.

Finally, CD2 Learning has a talent management component to help companies groom employees for leadership roles. Administrators can set and measure the goals and performance of employees, divisions or the entire organization via the Talent Development Toolkit. It includes a Leadership Process Map that helps with employee training by providing lessons based on the outcome of a specific test or performance, as well as gamification rewards as recognition.

CD2 Learning has a six-step implementation process that consists of:

  • Planning – The client works with CD2 Learning’s project team to figure out goals and requirements for its learning management system, as well as setting up an implementation schedule.
  • Defining – Clients get a detailed implementation plan from the project team that includes a mock-up of the solution.
  • Building – The solution is being developed during this phase.
  • Configuring – Clients test the solution to ensure it’s built correctly for their requirements and needs.
  • Training – CD2 Learning offers either onsite or remote training, as well as system documentation and online lessons.
  • Delivering – The solution goes live.

Customer Service & Support

Clients can choose from a variety of support plans that include chat and phone support, and a knowledge base of commonly-asked questions. The support plan can be customized to a client’s specific needs.

CD2 Learning was founded in 2008 to give businesses content and learning management tools in one efficient and affordable solution. Its initial solution was developed a year later with a single course that had 28 lessons.

CD2 Learning expanded over the years, and in 2011 it started offering features such as gamification and social collaboration.

The solution has received many accolades since 2013, including the 2016 Gold Stevie Award for its Moment in Time App, the 2016 Leadership Excellence Award and’s Top 20 Authoring Tools.
