7Geese At A Glance
Product Overview
7Geese is a cloud-based performance management software that helps employees achieve their goals and receive continuous feedback. It uses the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) strategy that aligns company, department and employee goals. Companies can streamline their performance review processes and encourage employees to publicly recognize peers for their hard work.
7Geese has several benefits, including:
- Automated features that eliminate paper-based processes
- Employees access to goals and performance data year-round rather than annually
- Improved employee morale with clear objectives and peer-driven recognition programs
- Transparent pricing tiers
- Integration to third-party applications (e.g., HRMS software, Slack, Salesforce)
Features
Here are the key features of 7Geese.
Objectives – The Objectives feature supports both OKR and SMART goal methodologies. Organizations can set strategic, companywide objectives that align with department, team or individual goals. They can also customize their goal management process within the software. Goals are tracked in real time, so managers and employees can get updates on their progress.
Continuous feedback and 1-on-1 coaching – 7Geese provides customizable templates for feedback forms that can be set up quickly. With the 360-degree feedback feature, employees can request direct feedback from their peers. Managers can also get feedback from relevant team members on their employee’s performance. The manager can then provide 1-on-1 coaching to the employee based on the real-time feedback. And they can use the software to prepare for these meetings, add notes during meetings and follow up on action items afterwards.
Performance reviews – In addition to continuous feedback, 7Geese has tools for companies that prefer to handle performance reviews annually or quarterly. Administrators can customize the review workflows and create qualitative or quantitative (e.g., ratings, competency scales) evaluations. They can also track each step of the review process and send reminders. All the employee’s performance data is compiled in one place, so there’s no recency or other biases.
Career management – This new feature helps employees become better at their jobs and form an upward career path within the company. The manager develops a personalized growth plan that includes an employee’s areas of improvement or development opportunities. Both the manager and employee can track the growth plan, including feedback from peers or any development courses taken via a learning management system.
People analytics – 7Geese’s new people analytics feature guides companies in talent management and retention. Executives use the employee insights data to proactively assess if an employee is a flight risk (i.e., potentially leaving the company) or is eligible for a promotion. They can also create succession plans and use employees’ performance and development data to determine any hiring needs.
Recognition – Companies can create peer-based recognition programs based on their core values. Employees are encouraged to publicly recognize their peers on any achievements, and other employees can “like” or comment on those achievements.
