Clarizen At A Glance

Good: Robust features for tracking every task and milestone of a critical project.
Bad: Due to its range of tools and features, customer service can be slow to fix problems.
Bottom Line: All-in-one task-tracking and resource-management solution for analyzing every aspect of an ongoing or future project.

Product Overview

Clarizen is a comprehensive project management solution that ensures best practices are followed in each stage of users’ workflow.

Budget forecasting, document management and task tracking are all included for meeting project milestones according to the team’s bottom line.

Here, we’ve selected the top five features of Clarizen:

1. Task Management: All tasks are centralized for team collaboration. That way, nothing falls through the cracks. Each employee updates the status of his or her work so managers can properly plan and monitor projects.

2. Resource Management: Managers have a real-time view into each employee’s workflow to calculate distribution of resources. In addition, managers can toggle between projects on a calendar so they can forecast what resources will be needed or what’s next.

3. Time-Sheet Tracking: Track billable hours as employees record their progress. The system automatically populates time sheets with the time spent working on projects. Certain tasks can be billed differently than others.

4. Document Management: Collaborate with team members and external clients while referencing key documents. Tools are available for annotating documents and referencing relevant ongoing tasks. Clarizen integrates with Dropbox, Google Docs and ProofHQ. Users are able to download and store files directly from email. They can also review documents from a mobile device.

5. Reports and Dashboards: Various aspects of projects, such as time sheets, project statuses and ongoing tasks, can be turned into visuals and tracked in real time or with an overview. The solution offers a range of visuals, including clusters, bar graphs and pie charts. An Excel add-on allows users to export this data.
