Paycor’s robust suite of HCM solutions just got bigger with the addition of Talent Development.

HR leaders can inspire associates, improve efficiencies and align employees to top priorities with Paycor’s performance management software. With continuous development and coaching, employers can move from the annual review and to more frequent discussions that enhance engagement, create the right level of focus and drive better business outcomes.

Paycor Talent Development saves time and removes the complexity often associated with performance management. With automated workflows, prompts, tasks and notifications, there’s no longer a manual burden on admins, managers and employees. Data is automatically compiled from a selected time frame to generate a desired report. The platform gives everyone time back in their day to focus on what really matters.

Features

The Objectives feature supports both OKR and SMART goal methodologies. Organizations can set strategic, company-wide objectives that align with department, team or individual goals. They can also customize their goal management process within the software. Goals are tracked in real time, so managers and employees can get updates on their progress. There’s also the Paycor Paths feature where frontline managers can learn new skills with learning content and action items.

Paycor Talent Development provides customizable templates for feedback forms that can be set up quickly. With the 360-degree feedback feature, employees can request direct feedback from their peers. Managers can also get feedback from relevant team members on their employee’s performance. The manager can then provide 1-on-1 coaching to the employee based on the real-time feedback. And they can use the software to prepare for these meetings, add notes during meetings and follow up on action items afterwards.

In addition to continuous feedback, Paycor has tools for companies that prefer to handle performance reviews annually or quarterly. Administrators can customize the review workflows and create qualitative or quantitative (e.g., ratings, competency scales) evaluations. They can also track each step of the review process and send reminders. All the employee’s performance data is compiled in one place, so there’s no recency or other biases.

Companies can also create peer-based recognition programs based on their core values. Employees are encouraged to publicly recognize their peers on any achievements, and other employees can “like” or comment on those achievements.

Implementation/Integration

New clients work with Paycor’s implementation team on a customizable implementation process. However, here are the basic steps it takes to get Paycor live:

  1. There’s an implementation meeting where Paycor gathers client requirements and other data and provides them with an implementation schedule.
  2. Paycor undergoes a database verification and configuration process to input the client’s employee information and configure the software to the client’s specifications.
  3. Paycor offers instructor-led training for new clients.
  4. Paycor tests the system by performing a payroll run and compares that to the client’s older system for verification. Clients can also test the software as well.
  5. Paycor goes live.

Customer Service & Support

Clients work with the customer support team on troubleshooting, HR best practices and other inquiries. Clients’ employees can access the help center to get answers on frequently asked questions and view other resources. They can contact Paycor for tech support issues but are advised to contact their employer on HR-related inquiries (such as questions about their pay stubs).

Paycor offers ongoing training via webinars on both its product and general HR best practices. It also provides the HR Center of Excellence Virtual Summit, a multi-day series of webinars that gives HR professional tools and continuing education credits to help them stay current on the latest trends and best practices.
