Product Overview

This review focuses on neonPay. We’ve also reviewed neon’s HRMS, recruiting and time clock modules.

neonPay is a web-based module that allows payroll administrators to process payroll more efficiently. It includes automatic calculations, as well as a customized dashboard and payroll alerts.

neonPay is compatible with multiple browsers. It’s also available on mobile devices, so administrators can access the module at their convenience. In addition, neonPay can integrate with an accounting/general ledger system as well as neon’s other modules.

The vendor also offers its neonRetain package, which combines both payroll and time and attendance features. neonRetain includes all features of neonPay, along with the ability to create flexible pay rules, mass-editing capabilities and real-time notifications. neonRetain can be purchased separately or as part of neonComplete, a total package that includes neonStart (recruiting and applicant tracking) and neonTouch (HRMS).

We’ve indicated neonPay’s standard features in the checkboxes below. However, we want to highlight some additional features, such as:

The implementation process for neon can take anywhere from six to 10 weeks, depending on the number of modules purchased and the client’s needs. The neon implementation team starts the process with a welcome call that introduces the client to the account manager and to discuss timelines and expectations of the implementation.  After the welcome call, the team creates a implementation schedule for each module.

The neon team prefers to roll out each module separately so as to help the client familiarize themselves with one module before moving onto the next.

Training sessions are conducted by neon remotely before the go-live date.
