Product Overview

In 2017, Xerox released 29 new devices with its new ConnectKey technology that goes beyond traditional printing. Each ConnectKey device uses mobile and cloud technology as well as a tablet-like interface to access workflows. The 29 ConnectKey devices is broken down into two groups: VersaLink for small-to-medium-sized businesses and AltaLink for larger companies.

The AltaLink C8000 Series consist of five color MFPs with standard printing, copying and scanning features and optional faxing. They range in engine speed from 30ppm to 70ppm.

Here are the five MFPs:

  • The AltaLink C8030 ($14,748) prints and copies at 30ppm (in both black and color) and has a monthly duty cycle of 90,000 pages.
  • The AltaLink C8035 ($16,748) prints and copies at 35ppm (in both black and color) and has a monthly duty cycle of 110,000 pages.
  • The AltaLink C8045 ($20,754) prints and copies at 45ppm (in both black and color) and has a monthly duty cycle of 200,000 pages.
  • The AltaLink C8055 ($24,854) prints and copies at 55ppm in black and 50ppm in color. It has a monthly duty cycle of 300,000 pages.
  • The AltaLink C8070 ($31,000) prints and copies at 70ppm (in both black and color) and has a monthly duty cycle of 300,000 pages.

All five MFPs include a 1.91GHz processor, 8GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive.  There is also a 10.1″ color touchscreen with a touch-and-swipe user interface that resembles mobile devices. They also comes with access to the Xerox App Gallery so users can download specific apps to help customize one-touch printing tasks that reflect their workloads.

PCL and PostScript are supported. USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity are standard. The C8000 Series support mobile printing and scanning. Users can print from and scan to a variety of apps, such as Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Mopria, Xerox Print Service Plug-in for Android and Near Field Communication (NFC) devices.

The C8000 Series support printing from and scanning to these following cloud accounts: Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft 365, DocuShare, Google Drive and Dropbox.

There’s also an optional Xerox EX-c C8000 Print Server for additional graphic and other professional-looking documents. The print server has a 2.4GHz processor, 2GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive. Other features include variable data printing, Fiery color management and mobile and cloud printing.

The AltaLink C8000 Series is a scalable line of MFPs for the medium-to-large organization that’s looking for color multifunctionality and a way to improve their productivity.

Great MFP

We replaced our Canon fleet with the Xerox C8070's and couldn't be happier. Better print quality and much easier to use.

Best ever

on 2018-06-23 07:20:53

We just obtained a number of these products.
I am surprised of the negative image quality reviews. I don’t see any of these problems on our machines. Colors print very well and the device is extremely easy to use. I love the touch screen, workflows, and the security features that the device offers.
A true winner. Will recommend highly. You won’t be disappointed...

Xerox should be ashamed

on 2018-03-27 06:59:17

I so so wish i stumbled upon this prior to purchasing a 8030 - only found this thread by searching Altalink colour issues..
The entire 8000 Altalink series is a complete joke. They cannot reproduce reds or blues correctly and no amount of calibration, toner adjustment will make a blind bit of difference. We are not talking slightly faded, washed out we are talking a completely different shade of red, blues coming out purple and all images seemingly washed out with way too much magenta. The engine on these printers is embarrassing.
Xerox KNOW this is a fundamental issue with these machines and so far the support on the issue has been truly pathetic. I am now having to tell a client where colour is relatively critical (non-production) that in order to get this right we may have to spend an additional 4K on a Fiery Rip. This coming after forking out 6K on the printer itself. This is completely unacceptable to me and after putting dozen's of Xerox printers into production & creative environments I will be switching to a different brand because this simply isn't good enough and Xerox do no care one toss about the end-user.
I have now printed the same file on a 7830i at another client and lo & behold it's perfect, red is red, blue is blue.
Xerox if you are reading this you need to address this issue now and fire the engineering team than managed to inexplicably make something newer and supposedly a whole lot worse in terms of quality

No Stars!

on 2017-09-05 14:37:13

We got this printer a week ago, and my office prints A LOT of color presentations. Imagine my surprise when I began printing on our new fancy printer and all the colors come out blue. I have spent HOURS on the phone with tech support to no avail. We are running through blue ink like crazy and nobody seems to know how to fix it. What a waste of time and money.

Find a different model.

We are a Windows 10/MAC office it doesn't print properly from either, and since it is windows based all the MAC's in the office get kicked off.

Useless if you need color

on 2017-07-11 23:39:54

If your color accuracy needs are anything higher than "meh, purple blue whatever who cares green is green anyways" then stay the Hellox away from this printer 'cause it's color reproduction sucks.

You have been warned!
