Product Overview
The IM C530FB joins Ricoh’s line of Intelligent Devices that allow businesses to access the latest technological features without having to buy a new MFP. Administrators simply download any new application, feature, or upgrade from the device as soon as they’re available, thanks to Ricoh’s Always Current technology.
At 55 ppm, it’s a color MFP with standard printing, copying, scanning and faxing. It has a first-page-out-time of 4.2 seconds in color and has a 7″ Smart Operation Panel, which can be personalized with the client’s logo, and also includes web-help and how-to videos for guiding end users.
Ricoh also offer customized applications or workflows that can be standardized throughout the company or within cloud-hosted user profiles (so individuals or departments can access specific workflows). Those settings or workflows can be rolled over to the new device once the current MFP reaches end of life.
In addition, there is the optional Streamline NX software, which is a modular platform that helps organizations manage their document-related processes. One of its feature is Secure Release, which allows users to restrict access to print output to only document owners.

Features
Paper input/output: Standard paper capacity consists of a 550-sheet tray and a 150-sheet bypass. Ricoh offers an optional 2,000-sheet large-capacity tray that adds up to a maximum capacity of 2,700 sheets. The trays support up to legal-sized (8.5″ x 14″) paper. There’s also a standard 100-sheet single-pass duplexing feeder. Standard paper output is 400 sheets and there are no finishing options.
Multifunctional features: The IM C530FB includes a 1.2 GHz processor, 2 GB of memory (RAM) and a 32 GB (eMMC). PCL, PostScript and direct PDF are supported. UBS and Ethernet connectivity is standard, and wireless is optional. The devices support mobile printing and scanning via Ricoh’s Smart Device Connector app and Apple AirPrint.
Scan-to functions include email, folder (SMB and FTP) and USB, and the MFP supports PDF, JPEG, TIFF, high-compression PDF and PDF/A file formats.
Faxing features include a 33.6kbps modem with up to 4 MB of memory.

Shortcomings
The IM C530FB doesn’t have finishing options and also doesn’t support ledger-sized (11″ x 17″) paper.
