Grow is an innovative business intelligence (BI) solution that allows companies to easily access and analyze real-time data.

With easy-to-use features, Grow allows small to mid-sized businesses to unite and blend scattered data from multiple sources, including spreadsheets, databases, and SaaS applications (such as Salesforce, Zendesk, QuickBooks, etc.).

Grow’s robust tools allows any user to create customized reports and dashboards without relying on a developer. Pre-built reports can be implemented with just one click, or new metrics can easily be pulled from raw data.

Here are some key features of Grow:

  • Real-time data – Grow connects with hundreds of popular applications, such as databases (e.g., MySQL, Redshift, BigQuery), social media sites, customer relationship management software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Google Analytics and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) to make data integration as simple as dragging and dropping. Once a source is connected, Grow pulls real-time data to keep users on top of their progress. Grow also stores all the data in one place, so companies won’t need a third-party data warehouse.
  • Data cleansing – The software supports both SQL and Non-SQL data transformations, such as custom calculations, data joining and column renaming.
  • Dashboards – Users can quickly get insights with prebuilt dashboards, and they can also filter the dashboards based on date range and other categories. The dashboards can dynamically display data based on which user is logged into the account.
  • Data visualizations – Grow supports a number of chart types, such as bar chart, columns or funnel charts. Users can drill down into the data, filter individual metrics or even change the visualization from the chart view to a table view.
  • Security – Grow stores the data in a read-only format to keep it private and secure. When accessing data, Grow uses SSL encryption and an SSH reverse tunnel to transmit information and connect with users’ databases while it remains securely behind a firewall.
  • Customizable appearance  Grow allows companies to customize the app with its brand, including logo, URL and color palette.
  • Unlimited real-time updates – Rather than going through IT, end users can easily build their own reports and dashboards the way they like them. They can also set the Grow timer to automatically keep them updated in real time.
  • Unlimited users – Grow offers unlimited users on every account so the entire team can be on the same page.
  • Share – Users can share dashboards and reports via email, shareable URLs and Slack. There’s a TV mode feature that lets users display a dashboard on the TV during meetings and has configurable display modes and the ability to run metrics on a timer.

Implementation/Integration

Grow is a cloud-based solution, which makes deployment quick and simple.

After contacting Grow, new clients will receive an activation email with information to create an account with a username and password. Once the account is activated, they can log in and set up a dashboard using the metrics critical to their company. As part of implementation, Grow data specialists will provide training to help solve clients unique data challenges and guide them through creating more complicated metrics.

Customer Service & Support

Grow has a Help Center with searchable articles, quick guides, and videos to help customers learn about the BI solution’s full capabilities.

The Grow support team is also available via phone, email, or online chat.

Shortcomings

While users can currently share their metrics via a Slack channel, they can’t share it in a direct message. Grow mentioned that the functionality will be in a future upgrade. Also, some end users may expect a learning curve with the software, especially if they haven’t used an analytics solution before.
