Two Core Differences

1.) Price

Both solutions offer a free account as well as paid accounts. The types of paid accounts differ, however.

Schoology: Schoology’s Basic plan is its free version. Its paid versions are Enterprise and Enterprise Plus. The Enterprise plan offers many advanced features, such as premium integration, dedicated implementation and support, and system-level administration. The Enterprise Plus package includes all features of the Basic and Enterprise plans, but adds assessment management and proficiency reporting features. Note that we don’t have prices for the Enterprise accounts, so you’ll want to contact Schoology directly for quotes.

Edmodo: The vendor offers two plans for schools and districts: Personal and Pro. While the Personal plan is free for individual teachers, Pro is a paid plan that includes advanced features. The Personal plan includes 1 GB of cloud storage, a classroom space, Edmodo community resources, personal groups, messaging, class calendar, a dedicated app for parents and email support.

The Pro plan includes all of the features of the Personal plan, plus unlimited cloud storage, professional groups, community pages, administrative tools and analytics, onboarding support, prioritized support, an institution resource library and training. It starts at $8 per user and is based on annual billing. Districts that want to learn more about the Pro plan can contact Edmodo for a quote.

Comments

  1. I find it very disappointing that I cannot see your prices for Enterprise and Enterprise Plus, this leads me to believe that I will be forced to listen to a sales pitch and then be nagged constantly by phone calls and emails, when all I want to do is to find out if my company can even afford one of those options right now. If you really want business you should show your prices up front.
