SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite is a cloud-based Human Experience Management (HXM) suite that empowers small and midsize businesses to successfully improve employee engagement. HXM is a new category that is completely designed around employee experiences – what they need, how they work and what motivates them.

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll – This solution includes embedded localization that supports more than 45 countries. It also provides automated payroll calculations, employee self-service, tax compliance and integration with other HRIS and time management systems.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking – The solution enables employees to record their working time easily, knowing they will be paid correctly, and provide managers with an overview of labor costs.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Service Center – The solution helps HR staff with employee questions or issues. Employees can open a ticket by phone, chat or email, as well as review the ticket status, in the Ask HR portal. Additional features are an integrated knowledge base, ticket routing and Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Document Management by OpenText – Powered by OpenText, this document management solution provides a centralized location of HR files. Employees can use the text search functionality to find a specific document. Additional features include templates, batch processing and compliance management.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone – With this digital workplace solution, employees can access relevant business applications and processes, information, and communications from a single entry point. The solution connects employees to boost productivity, increase retention, and drive engagement through communication, communities, and personalized and guided experiences from across disparate systems.

Talent Management – SAP SuccessFactors has several talent management solutions that help organizations attract, develop and retain talent. They include:

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting – SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting includes robust features for streamlining the hiring process. It accommodates up to 46 languages, so recruiters can source talent from around the world. They can set up a global career site that span multiple brands and languages. Recommendations of formal learning, informal learning, and experiential learning are curated for an employee to browse, bookmark, and act upon.

It also has interactive dashboards and reports, and users can drill-down into specific data (e.g., diversity, turnover) with the data exploration tool. The solution integrates with third-party applications, so users can see their data in one system.
  • SAP Digital Boardroom – The SAP Digital Boardroom tools gives the C-level executives real-time context into their business data, and they can create ad-hoc or what-if analysis for further insights. It also includes predefined queries, data models, visualization and best-practices content, and
  • SAP Analytics Cloud – HR leaders can engage in strategic workforce planning methods with the SAP Analytics Cloud. It combines business intelligence, enterprise planning and augmented analytics capabilities in one platform. Some of its features include interactive visualizations with drilling/filtering functionalities, natural language processing, data cleansing, predictive forecasting and collaboration.

Implementation/Integration

SAP SuccessFactors provides a variety of implementation services that range from prepackaged implementation plans to companies that want a fully customized solution. Its Advisory Services team meets with the client to discuss the client’s unique requirements and figure out the best practice of deployment.

The vendor employs an integration delivery team to help clients integrate SAP SuccessFactors with other SAP products or the client’s existing applications. 

SAP offers instructor-led specialized training and certification programs for a variety of SAP SuccessFactors solutions. It also has a subscription-based service called SAP Learning Hub that gives users the ability to access any training content on any of its products anywhere. 

Customer Service & Support

The SAP Enterprise support package includes a variety of offerings for users. First, there is the customer community for users to communicate and share ideas on issues with the software or on general HR topics. There is also a support portal for browsing through articles and videos and submitting support requests. Users can also reach out to support via live chat. And users can learn more about SAP SuccessFactors via webinars. 

There’s also the SAP Preferred Success option for clients that want to work with a dedicated support manager. It provides mission-critical support and best practice for escalating support issues. For example, a priority 4 support (low priority support) response time would be within eight hours rather than two business days that SAP Enterprise support provides. The customer support manager also provides guidance in scaling or down the solution, as well as help in navigating new product releases.
