Features

Workflow automation – info:HR provides features to help businesses automate their workflows. First, there’s the Flag feature that tracks customizable new hire checklists and flags any items that need to be reviewed. There’s also the What’s Missing feature that alerts the user of any missing tasks they need to perform. Then, there’s the G/L Distribution feature that splits the employee costs across multiple general ledger accounts.

The software also allows users to make bulk updates, for example, adding learners to a course. Finally, HR can access all pertinent information on an employee’s record within a single screen.

HR reporting – info:HR provides a robust reporting tool that includes a database query, customizable reports and a library of over 200 reporting templates on various metrics. HR can share reports that are relevant to the team, for example, sharing the labor costs report with the finance team. Department managers can also get permission to pull the reports they need without asking HR directly.

Employee and manager self-service – Employees can update their personal information, manage their sick and vacation leave, and request time off. Managers can approve the employee’s time-off request.

Attendance and time-off tracking – In addition to tracking time off, managers can track employees’ attendance, hours worked, overtime and more. The module supports an unlimited number of customizable policies and agreements.

Recruitment – This module includes a web-based application that job candidates can fill out. Once a candidate is hired, that hiring data is automatically added to the HR database so there’s no duplicate data entry involved.

Performance management – With the performance management module, HR can track an employee’s disciplinary history, including the level of each warning. Documents, such as performance reviews, can be attached to an employee’s record. HR can also set up alerts for any future actions, such as the date of the next performance review.

Compensation management – The features in the compensation management module include the G/L Distribution feature, the ability to manage multiple positions and complex employee agreements, overtime tracking and employment equity tracking. New payroll numbers as a result of salary changes are automatically sent to the company’s payroll software.

Benefits administration – The module automates the benefits process by allowing HR to define benefits types for an entire team rather than just individual employees. info:HR integrates to third-party benefit providers, and employee deductions (such as health insurance premium or retirement) automatically go to the company’s payroll system.

Learning development and succession planning – The features in this module are tracking certifications and license renewals, customizable training plans for each employee, identifying skills requirements for each position, performing gap analyses, and managing required courses by position, date or department.

info:HR includes health and safety features, such as customizable legal safety forms, and tracking safety purchases, such as work boots and glasses. The software also has online timesheets that capture employee time data, as well as time data approval workflows for payroll processing purposes.
