Product Overview

Highflyer HR is a cloud-based midmarket solution that streamlines core HR tasks, such as payroll, benefits, and time and attendance. It’s a unified software, so data syncs between modules, eliminiating manual data entry. Companies also have access to real-time data to help make better business decisions.

Highflyer HR consists of four core modules:

  • Payroll
  • Time and attendance
  • Benefits administration
  • Human resources

There are also optional modules that companies can add as needed:

  • Onboarding
  • Applicant tracking
  • ACA reporting

Features

Here are some of the key features of each Highflyer HR module:

Payroll – Administrators can process payroll efficiently from any device. There’s a real-time payroll preview functionality so administrators can check that calculations are accurate. Employees can view both current and past pay records. Administrators can create reports either using built-in templates or a custom report writer. Other features include year-end processing, tax filing, garnishment management, direct deposit and general ledger integration. In addition to direct deposit, employees can be paid via check or pay card.,

Time and attendance – Highflyer HR offers flexible time-collection methods, such as optional hardware clocks, web browser or the Highflyer mobile app. The software supports unlimited employees, as well as pay policies and shifts. There’s also an error-checking system to verify time punches against shift and pay policies. Other features include automated time entries for approved absences, multiple overtime categories, time rounding, and meals and breaks tracking.

Benefit administration – The module includes automated tools that streamline the open enrollment process. Employees can enroll in their benefit plans via Highflyer HR, as well as view benefit elections, access company documents or edit their personnel information. There’s also real-time integration with insurance carriers and carrier-specific reports.

Human resources – In the HR module, administrators can create reports or get alerts on all types of employee data. The module supports other HR tasks, including new hire reporting, vacation accrual management, performance management, training management, and job and salary management.

Highflyer offers its HR Pro service where experienced staff work with clients on HR needs. Examples include an HR audit and employee handbook development. There’s also an Ask the Pro feature where administrators can ask an expert about legal or HR issues in their workplace.

Onboarding – New hires can complete their required paperwork online rather than on paper, as the software collects personal information, benefits enrollment and other data. Other onboarding features include bilingual capability, tax credit processing and document storage.

Applicant tracking – Recruiters can use the applicant tracking solution to fill new positions. Some of the features are custom career sites, online applications, EEO/OFCCP compliance and real-time analytics.

Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting – Highflyer offers an action plan that help companies meet their ACA compliance deadlines by compiling the required data and managing forms.

Finally, Highflyer HR offers optional administration services that help companies successfully manage specific benefits, such as COBRA, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) and transportation reimbursement. There’s also a Carrier Feeds service that automatically communicates enrollment and other changes to the appropriate insurance carriers.
