Vantage HCM At A Glance
Product Overview
ADP sells a variety of solutions that are targeted to specific company sizes. This review focuses on the ADP Vantage HCM platform.
ADP Vantage HCM is specifically designed for large, multinational U.S.-based companies. As it’s a unified platform, administrators won’t need to worry about manual data entry, allowing them to focus on critical parts of their jobs. ADP Vantage HCM is also customizable to an organization’s specific needs.
The solution is deployed in the cloud, so it’s accessible from any device. It’s also available as a mobile app. Employees can check their pay stubs and receive company information, while managers can edit team schedules, approve time off requests and track employee productivity.
ADP Vantage HCM integrates to ADP DataCloud, a workforce analytics solution that provides insights using real-time data to help make better business decisions. Managers can find trends or issues in key areas, such as overtime, employee turnover and compensation. ADP DataCloud compares a company’s workforce data with market averages based on real-time aggregated HR and pay data from ADP’s client base. Actionable data is sent to managers by email or through the ADP app.
ADP Vantage HCM has four key modules:
- Talent
- Benefits and ACA
- Workforce Management
- Payroll
Features
Talent – This module includes recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation management and succession planning features. Recruiters can source active and passive candidates using talent communities that are tailored to a company’s job openings. Branded career websites can be mobile-optimized and linked to any job board or social platform. Hiring managers can be more actively involved in the recruiting process using tools like advanced mobile capabilities and visibility into the status of each job posting or candidate.
With ADP Vantage HCM, the onboarding process is streamlined for both the new hire and HR staff. New hires can fill out paperwork, virtually meet their team, or access resources about their new job and office culture before their first day.
Performance management features include continuous feedback between the manager and employee, setting up cascading goals and addressing gaps in competencies. Employees can also post and comment on specific learning content.
Companies can create top-down or bottom-up compensation programs that tie bonuses or raises to employee performance. They can also give managers the opportunity to find and compare metrics on internal candidates to succeed outgoing employees.
Benefits and ACA – With this module, employees can find and enroll in specific benefits programs. All benefits offerings are easily organized and include comprehensive information to help employees make the best decisions regarding health care, retirement and other benefit opportunities.
ADP Vantage HCM provides tools for companies to easily comply with ADA regulations, such as easy data extraction. Benefits and ACA data are consolidated so they’re easily added into Form 1094-C and Form 1095-C. ADP staff also stays on top of legislative changes so companies don’t have to worry about this.
ADP provides optional support for annual open enrollment through its ADP AE 365 service. Other add-on services include reconciling ACA penalties, printing forms and verifying employees’ dependent information.
Workforce Management – ADP Vantage HCM provides time and attendance features, such as automated scheduling, absence management and alerts when an employee goes near the overtime threshold. It has a variety of time-collection methods, including desktop, mobile or time clocks.
The software helps companies comply with wage and hour rules by configuring work and pay rules, documenting changes to time cards, keeping audit trails and tracking attendance points.
It also has some project management functionality, so managers can track a project’s budget, expenses and resources. Employees can track time that’s spent on each task or project.
Payroll – ADP Vantage HCM’s payroll module has multinational flexibility so companies can easily comply with local tax and pay rules. They also can choose to pay their employees electronically, by check or by debit card. ADP’s payroll staff provides support to help companies accurately meet employment tax, wage garnishment and unemployment claims guidelines.
