AccountMate At A Glance

Good: Easy to navigate, customizable, variety of modules, top-notch customer support.
Bad: HR and POS (Point-of-Sale) modules are not offered.
Bottom Line: Flexible ERP solution with a customizable source code and different modules to streamline processes for small and mid-sized companies.

Product Overview

AccountMate is a robust enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution that provides small and medium-sized companies with a wide range of modules, including business intelligence, inventory management and customer relationship management (CRM).

Its inventory management module makes it convenient to define the cost of each item and allows companies to set each item’s reorder level, safety stock and reorder quality. In addition, the platform has strong financial modules for the distribution and procurement processes (such as Purchase and Sales Order processing).

Another strong feature of AccountMate is Business Alerts. Users can set parameters for data conditions, and people can be notified as these criteria are met. Such conditions might be something like a purchase order not fulfilled by a specified due date. While some of these conditions can be found in other platforms’ Sales Order modules, AccountMate allows businesses to define these conditions on a macro level for the entire organization.

AccountMate works on Windows systems and has multiple deployment options.

Features

AccountMate offers multiple modules that can be tailored to a company’s specific needs. Its key features include business intelligence, a System Manager, its Business Alerts and data backup:

  • Business intelligence (BI) – BI in AccountMate is a powerful reporting and query solution that allows companies to analyze business data from any angle they’d like, including application data from non-AccountMate solutions. Advantages include in-depth information, enhanced executive productivity, faster reporting cycles and sophisticated data analysis. Also, data can be visualized using dashboards, graphs, charts and reports.
  • System Manager – AccountMate’s System Manager controls the entire system’s setup, including the system environment, desktop shortcuts to the platform’s functions, multi-authentication password security, report setup, the system date, module selection, its audit trail and more. In addition, it initializes the software, offers multilingual features and gives users access to the Microsoft Office toolkit.
  • Business Alerts – Through AccountMate’s Business Alerts, clients can use several predefined alerts to send emails to specific recipients that need to be informed of a particular event or reminded of an action. Alerts can be sent to a group of people or to one specific worker.
  • Data backup – AccountMate frequently backs up clients’ data, and it provides its customers with secure data storage facilities with an automated recovery and back-up protocol. Automation ensures clients don’t have to monitor, resolve or manage data recovery incidents. To confirm the facility’s network is always functioning at peak efficiency, highly trained technicians monitor network performance around the clock, 365 days a year.

Implementation/Integration

AccountMate users can install and use the software in one of the following ways:

  • Local installation – With local installation, customers can control their software licenses and have AccountMate ERP deployed on their local servers, which can be networked with corporate PCs. Clients manage hardware maintenance and routine installation.
  • AccountMate Software-as-a-Service (Cloud) – The cloud version allows businesses to rent (not own) the ERP platform. With its monthly pricing model, all the server and platform costs can be easily budgeted. Each monthly cloud subscription includes software maintenance, registered software licenses, payroll tax subscriptions (as required) and hosting fees. The solution is hosted at a secure facility, allowing both users and AccountMate solution providers to remotely and safely access the software.
  •
AccountMate Hosted – Hosted deployment allows companies with a local, perpetual AccountMate license to have the ERP software hosted at AccountMate’s remote secure facility. Customers pay monthly maintenance and hosting fees to gain remote access to their own solution and predetermined applications. With this option, customers’ AccountMate solution provider handles the installation and upgrades, and can modify the software. Automated backup may also be offered.

Customer Service & Support

AccountMate Software Corporation provides instance-based support, instead of charging customers by the minute when addressing support tickets. By taking this approach, the company’s support staff is able to respond quickly and effectively.

Customers can learn more about AccountMate’s Support Plans by logging in to the platform, contacting their AccountMate solution provider or emailing the AccountMate support team.

In addition, AccountMate offers several forms of training, including:

  • Webcast – Training sessions are held online, including both recorded webinars (Webcasts on Demand) and live webinars.
  • Classroom training – Product training sessions are held in a classroom environment. Users gain the advantage of live interaction with instructors and classmates.
  • E-learning – Registered users can access short training videos, each of which highlights a basic function of the solution in the context of how it’s applied to a business process.

Pricing

AccountMate doesn’t publicly display its pricing information. Please contact the vendor directly for a customized quote.

Shortcomings

Although AccountMate is a robust solution, having HR and Point-of-Sale modules would enhance its functionality even more.

In addition, the solution’s modular design and pricing structure can make it more expensive than anticipated.
