Accolent ERP At A Glance
Product Overview
Accolent ERP is a fully integrated end-to-end business software built on a scalable web architecture. Accolent ERP is delivered as a cloud solution with a full suite of ERP functionality that is optimized for the wholesale distribution and light manufacturing industries.
Accolent ERP integrates with other ADS Solutions software, which support flexible, multi-level pricing; selling and purchasing in multiple units of measure; catch weights; bar coding; credit card processing; rentals and recurring billing; special orders; drop ships; and more, simplifying complex tasks common to distributors and light manufacturers. Its e-commerce modules facilitate creation of both an online customer portal and retail storefront.
A mobile app permits users’ access to critical information anytime, anywhere, and on any device.
Features
Accolent ERP software addresses the following operations essential to distributors:
- Purchasing – The purchasing module affords companies sufficient justification to make strategic purchasing decisions that ensure adequate stock levels are maintained, special orders are fulfilled, goods are bought at the best price and more. Through Purchasing, a user can calculate Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and automate the purchase process and EDI vendor compliance.
- Inventory Management – This tool provides an overall and detailed status check on a customer’s inventory across multiple locations at all times. A few mouse clicks indicate where inventory is, what’s being picked, what’s on order, or back ordered, what’s on PO and expected, and what’s being transferred between storage units.
- Warehouse management and fulfillment – For each warehouse, the WMS generates inventory reports; reconciles inventory status during quote submission, order, PO, etc.; sets selling prices and varies costs for items; and defines safety stock and stocking levels. Customers with multiple warehouses can perform product transfers to optimize inventory levels and vendor discounts, and centralize purchasing options. The WMS supports wireless transmission, rendering the entire fulfillment process agile and immediate.
- Shipping and receiving – Functionality with this module includes single or batch pick ordering, pick sequence-optimizing sort, varied packing options with packing list for each box, freight vendor selection and pick-up, customer notification and more. For firms that maintain multiple retail-focused, e-commerce store fronts, this tool integrates with ShippingEasy software, fostering interaction with leading marketplaces, shopping carts and e-commerce platforms.
- e-Commerce capabilities – This tool has separate online portals for customer self-service account access (e-Wholesale app) and an online retail storefront (e-Retail app) for online visitors to your site. Both apps furnish secure, fully PCI-compliant payment options and reciprocate with nearly all major payment gateways and processors.
- Full financial accounting software – Accolent’s accounting tools monitor income, track expenditures, help set budgets and manage resources for a user’s entire business. It furnishes multiple levels of security, complete and fully transparent audit trails, and full GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Business Intelligence – This embedded self-service analytics platform generates customized, visually appealing reports, dashboards and visualizations from which insights can be gleaned and sound decisions made.

Implementation/Integration
Accolent ERP’s cloud deployment version is considered Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). It installs and runs on its own cloud platform, a 24/7 managed VPN within Amazon Web Services cloud. SaaS simplifies system scaling as a customer’s needs change.
ADS Solutions has devised a systematic process and sequence of steps, checklists, tools and guidance that each customer undertakes to complete system implementation and execute Go-Live. Customers get asynchronous access to training videos, available online at any time and for any device. Affiliated training assignments help users retain video content.
After Go-Live, ADS Solutions provides quick-turnaround, responsive support services and free software updates to optimize a customer’s system continually. If needed, ADS Solutions can develop custom programs or coding that will help meet a customer’s specific business process needs.
ADS Solutions supplies its customers with a Data Conversion Kit, which affords access to all data import templates, programs and guidance necessary to successfully convert data from the legacy system. Any issues that arise can be handled through the Support Center portal.
If a client needs further implementation assistance, ADS Solutions has partnered with several professional services firms, which can supervise and perform all facets of the implementation process.
Customer Service & Support
ADS Solutions has established a lineup of customer support options from which users can choose to overcome any system issues.
First, the Accolent ERP Help Wiki is a searchable database containing helpful guides related to software functionality. Second, the Accolent ERP Support Center, a cloud-based support ticket system powered by Jira Service Desk, is a platform for submitting tickets. Third, a password-protected Customer Zone provides users with more helpful documentation, training videos and manuals. Through the Advantage Support Center, users can enter new support tickets and check the status on outstanding tickets.
Customers can also contract annually ADS Solutions’ Software Support Contract (SSC) that delivers three distinct advantages to subscribers:
