Product Overview

  • An intuitive interface
  • Customizable features that fit any unique processes
  • Integration to over 150 third-party applications
  • Scalable pricing tiers

Features

Here are the key features of Pipedrive.

Pipeline management – Pipedrive’s interface is designed as a pipeline layout so that sales reps can easily track all of their deals on the same screen. The deals are listed by sales stage (e.g., in negotiations, closed won) and sales reps can add new deals, contacts or activities via drag-and-drop functionality. There’s also a statistics tool that shows the health of each stage, so reps get a better idea of which stage needs improvement. The pipeline is fully customizable to fit any sales processes.

Lead generation and management – Sales reps can import data of qualified leads from a spreadsheet or an external application (e.g., another CRM system). Pipedrive has custom forms for generating new leads via the web, social media or email. Each form captures the lead’s name, address and other information. Pipedrive also has an optional leadbooster chatbot that qualifies new leads and books meetings. Users can create questions and set up lead routing rules for the chatbot ahead of time.

Contact management – Pipedrive holds an unlimited number of contacts in its database. New contacts can be imported from spreadsheets, existing CRMs and Google/Outlook email lists. Reps can view an activity history involving each contact via the Contacts Timeline layout. The smart contact data feature grabs extensive information about a contact with just an email address and public data, and the rep can prequalify this lead with a single click.

Communication tools – The software syncs with external email accounts (e.g., Gmail, Outlook), allowing sales reps to send emails either from their preferred provider or directly from Pipedrive. Reps can also track email opens/link clickthroughs, create email templates and send batch emails. The Smart Email BCC feature stores a copy of the email sent from an external email account. And with the Caller feature, reps can make and record calls directly from Pipedrive, which automatically logs those calls as a completed activity. Lastly, there’s a scheduling feature that lets reps send meeting invites to prospects.

Insights and reports – Sales managers can use the customizable dashboards to get insights on their team’s performance. They can set and track individual, team or companywide goals. The sales forecasting feature can predict which leads are hot or deals that are closing, so reps can focus on them.

Other features – Pipedrive’s other features include an activity calendar, customizable signatures, file attachments and integration to Google Maps for viewing a contact’s location. Sales managers can also streamline processes by setting up workflow automation, such as actions that take place once a specific trigger is reached. Finally, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Sales Assistant acts as a sales mentor by analyzing past performance data and suggesting ways to help reps get better results.

Pipedrive has four pricing tiers. Note that each price is based on annual billing.

  • Essential – The Essential tier costs $12.50 per user, per month and includes custom pipelines and stages, activities and calendar view, email inbox, customizable dashboards and user/company goal setting.
  • Advanced – The Advanced tier is $24.90 per user, per month and has all the features of the Essential tier, plus the AI Sales Assistant, workflow automation, full email integration, one-click contact data and a products catalog.
  • Professional – The Professional tier is priced at $49.90 per user, per month and has all the features of the other two tiers, plus click-to-call tracking, an unlimited meeting scheduler, batch emails, multiple dashboards, revenue forecasting and custom role-based permissions.
  • Enterprise – The Enterprise tier costs $99 per user, per month and has all the features of the other tiers, plus a dedicated account manager, phone support, data import, additional customization options and advanced security features. This tier requires a minimum of 10 users.

The optional leadbooster chatbot feature costs $32.50 per company, per month.

Shortcomings

While the interface is intuitive, some users have suggested that it could be more visually appealing (e.g., colorful icons). Also, Pipedrive is mainly intended for sales teams, so marketing and support teams may not benefit from it as much.
