Deltek Vantagepoint is a cloud-based software that helps architecture, engineering and consulting companies stay on top of their projects. Users can manage all of their projects in one place and get actionable insights on each project. Deltek Vantagepoint’s modules include project management, financial management, CRM, resource management and business intelligence. This review focuses on the CRM module.

Deltek Vantagepoint CRM lets users identify and bid on new projects, manage their pipelines and cultivate client relationships. It’s accessible on any device, and it integrates with other solutions, like Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce, and QuickBooks.


Here are a few key features of Deltek Vantagepoint CRM:

Contact management – The contact database stores all information and interaction history on a prospect or client. Users can create and update contacts from any device, and because the CRM module integrates with Outlook, contact information can also be automatically added. There’s a personal assistant feature called “Hey Deltek” that accepts voice or text commands, such as adding contacts, setting reminders and noting new follow-up tasks.

Pipeline management – Users can track their entire pipeline in a single place, and built-in reminders can alert them to follow up on particular tasks. They can also create proposals by adding in text, images or line breaks, and they can see the availability of key project members and historical budget data before sending proposals.

Reporting -The reporting and analytical tools include templates and role-based dashboards to help users spot trends and monitor their pipeline’s health. They can access key metrics on one screen, customize reports and then schedule them.

Deltek has three tiers of customer support, which are:

Standard Care – The Standard Care tier includes access to the online help portal, support during normal business hours, unlimited support cases for the first 120 days and then 15 cases annually, online and email response within 24 hours, four authorized support contacts and new product releases/enhancements.

Premium Care – The Premium Care tier includes all of the features of the Standard Care, plus phone support, support available during extended business hours, mission-critical support available 24 hours on weekdays, unlimited support cases and six authorized support contacts. Its response time varies depending on the severity of the issue: two hours for Severity 1 cases, four hours for Severity 2 cases, eight hours for Severity 3 cases and 24 hours for Severity 4 cases.

Select Care – The Select Care tier includes all of the features of the Premium Care tier, plus a dedicated customer support manager, mission-critical support available 24/7, 15 authorized support contacts, access to customer advisory councils and semi-annual product roadmaps, and free admission to the Deltek user conference. Its response time varies depending on the severity of the issue: one hour for Severity 1 cases, three hours for Severity 2 cases, six hours for Severity 3 cases and 12 hours for Severity 4 cases.
