Maintenance Coordinator At A Glance

Product Overview

Simplicity Software Technologies sells two CMMS systems: PM Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator. We will briefly describe PM Coordinator but the focus of the review will be on Maintenance Coordinator.

PM Coordinator has all of the standard CMMS features (work orders, asset management, etc) but doesn’t include inventory or purchasing functions.

Maintenance Coordinator, on the other hand, includes inventory and purchasing features, plus all of the other standard CMMS functions. It is split into two editions: Standard and Professional.  We explain them more in the Features section below.

Maintenance Coordinator is primarily an on-premised solution but users can optionally purchase an Internet hosting solution. This also includes mobile access from any Windows, Android, or Apple devices.

Implementation/Integration

Simplicity Software Technologies provides training and implementation packages, based on weekly increments. They are listed below. The packages contain basic implementation (maintenance data is entered into the system) and training services. Implementation and training are done at the company’s site.

  • One week: $9,950
  • Two weeks: $18,950
  • Three weeks: $27,450
  • Four weeks: $35,450

There are the training-only packages, which are detailed below:

  • One day: $2,300
  • Two days: $2,875
  • Three days: $3,450

Customer Service & Support

Users can submit a service request online via Simplicity’s support page. Simplicity also provides training manuals and videos.

Users can also purchase the Premium Product Support package that includes:

  • 2 hours free phone support per month; maximum phone support is 20 hours per year

  • Product release CD mailed quarterly (only if major releases within previous quarter)

About

Simplicity Software Technologies, Inc’s founder started his company in 2000 with more than 25 years of experience working with CMMS. His software was originally developed for a small division within a larger company that comprised of 30 mechanics that gave consistent feedback of features they wanted in a CMMS solution. Over time, the CMMS solution became available to a wider range of companies.

Simplicity Software Technologies’ mission is to listen to customers – as a result of continuous feedback, the Maintainence Coordinator and the PM Coordinator has gone through eight versions of software upgrades over the years. Their latest versions, Version 8, has been released in Spring 2015.
