Inventory Traker At A Glance
Traker Systems provides 5 separate products. For the purposes of this review, we will focus on Inventory Traker, also known as Asset Traker, for companies of any size.
Inventory Traker is a fixed asset management software solution that enables companies to easily keep track of assets with its Microsoft-based system. Through simple navigation and time-saving features, users are able to control and report on asset management operations.
The product is offered in four pricing packages:
The Lite Edition for a basic and scaled down version of inventory and product controls.
The Asset Edition for full asset management on tracking equipment with simple data export for linking your accounting program.
The Premier Edition for full inventory and product management control designed for 3PL Public Warehousing, Distribution Facilities, or Manufacturing environments.
The Premier Casino Edition is specialized for maintenance operations on slot machines and other features designed for casinos.
Inventory Traker’s top features ensure detailed information handling and efficient record keeping, allowing users to quickly manage maintenance operations.
Assets may be categorized by a number of factors such as serial number, model number, make, order number, description, category, bar code number, and a unique asset control number. Assets can also be tracked according to uploaded pictures and documents, and by their value according to a cost history and depreciation over time. Additional fields available for categorizing assets for maintenance include maintenance start date, maintenance estimated finish date, maintenance finish date, maintenance cost, maintenance custodian parts cost, labor cost total cost, and maintenance notes field.
One unique feature of the solution is its ability to break down one asset into two through Asset Groups, or Sub-Asset Tracking. One asset can be separated from another for highly detailed tracking in order to record components such as a hard drive or a specially licenses part, then tracked separately according to its own maintenance needs. Asset splitting is a similar feature that allows users to distinguish one asset into two main assets if needed.
Customization features allow users to alter the software for easier navigation, causing changes all throughout the system.
Reporting features allow users to create limitless custom reports and are given templates for common reports on assets, maintenance, transfers, splits, and disposals.
Security measures can be set up so that a customized login is used for each user, allowing them only access to assets with permission granted.

Implementation for Inventory Traker is on-premise, giving your IT and maintenance personnel full control over all aspects of the software, or can come with eTraker, a web-access module with an additional monthly hosting price.
Traker System’s online support pages give complete installation instructions as well as step-by-step directions on how to conduct a server migration, give user account control, and add reports.
iTraker is another one of Traker System’s products focused on mobility and cloud access.
Customer Service & Support
Taker System’s online support pages also offer instructions for how to conduct database maintenance, inventory reconciliation, a transfer of inventory, change logos, and many other IT related tasks.
A live chat is also provided through the website as well as a sales and support phone number.
Annual technical support and training come at additional costs.
Some customers have complained that the software’s implementation process doesn’t come with a training period, and may feel lost from the very start. Inventory Traker is primarily for companies with an in-house IT team that is able to install and maintain the software independently. This adds to security measures, but takes away from its overall usability.
With over 20 years of experience, Traker Systems is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. The company’s technical staff members are also Microsoft Certified Professionals dedicated to product quality and a high level of customer service and technical support.Download Vendor Comparison Guide
