SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting is a recruiting solution within the SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management category. It includes robust features for streamlining the hiring process. The software accommodates up to 46 languages, so recruiters can source talent from around the world. The software also includes intelligent technology to help companies eliminate hiring bias and make fair and equitable decisions.

There’s a separate solution called SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding that introduces new hires to their colleagues and role and lets them fill out the required paperwork via the personalized onboarding portal. The onboarding tool also supports offboarding and cross-boarding (e.g., internal transfers, promotions) tasks.

Global talent sourcing – As mentioned, the software accommodates up to 46 languages, so recruiters can source applicants from around the world. It also has data privacy controls to accommodate global data privacy laws. Recruiters can access and post job descriptions to many job boards and social networks, and they can set automated rules for posting jobs to the right sources, too. SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting integrates with over 70 third-party systems, so recruiters can extend their global solution even further.

Applicant tracking – SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting has automated tools to help recruiters create job postings, progress candidates through the pipeline and ensure postings and offers reflect equitable hiring practices. In addition, it has mobile collaboration features that allow applicants to submit their resumes or set up a profile from any device. And with mobile devices, recruiters can contact candidates and the hiring team can submit their interview feedback.

Candidate relationship management (CRM) – Recruiters can proactively gain and nurture passive candidates with email marketing campaigns. They can create targeted landing pages, use data-capture forms for finding new candidates and measure the effectiveness of the campaign with analytical tools.

Onboarding – With the SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding solution, new hires can access a personalized onboarding portal for filling out paperwork, connecting with their new manager and colleagues and reading key information about the company (e.g., employee handbooks). The step-by-step wizards provide guidance to managers in creating welcome messages, assigning goals and requesting equipment for the new employee. New hires can complete and sign the required paperwork with customizable electronic forms and the SAP Signature Management by DocuSign solution.

Managers can track new hire orientation statuses with the onboarding dashboard. Finally, SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding has features for cross-boarding and offboarding tasks, such as goal management, workflow process tracking and knowledge transfer management.

Its Advisory Services team meets with the client to discuss the client’s unique requirements and figure out the best practice of deployment.

The vendor employs an integration delivery team to help clients integrate SAP SuccessFactors with other SAP products or the client’s existing applications.

There’s also the SAP Preferred Success option for clients that want to work with a dedicated support manager. It provides mission-critical support and best practice for escalating support issues. For example, a priority 4 support (low priority support) response time would be within eight hours rather than two business days that SAP Enterprise support provides. The customer support manager also provides guidance in scaling or down the solution, as well as help in navigating new product releases.


SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting starts at $2.66 per user, per month, while SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding starts at $1.18 per user, per month. Note that these are starting prices, so please contact the vendor directly for a custom quote.
