Zoho Recruit ATS At A Glance

Good: Follows recruiter's full workflow from sourcing to on-boarding.
Bad: Doesn't fully integrate with other Zoho products.
Bottom Line: Cloud ATS for organizing recruitment information.

Product Overview

Zoho Recruit is a recruitment software that organizes, tracks, and streamlines the entire hiring process, allowing HR managers to spend less time worrying about technology and more time focusing on people.

Essentially, Zoho compiles all of an organization’s hiring data: stacks of resumes, shortlists, interviews, and other notes, and unites it and organizes it in a single place, for simple viewing and quick comparisons.

It begins with the sourcing process, or the initial gathering of candidates. Zoho Recruit can gather data on candidates by linking directly with certain job boards. These include LinkedIn, Simply Hired, Indeed, and Juju, to name a few. Resumes, work samples, references, and other information can be extracted straight from the site into the company database, vastly reducing the amount of legwork for HR.

The next step is outreach, which Zoho supports by allowing an HR manager to reach a vast number of candidates with just a single click. Communications with each candidate are simply managed, and interviews and internal meetings regarding the candidates can be organized and tracked swiftly and efficiently.

Management is made simple. After the outreach phase, HR can establish a shortlist by categorizing jobs, appropriate candidates, and contacts. They can be organized and grouped with tags. And workflows can be customized for individual business needs.

Finally, Zoho Recruit offers a spread of integrations: Google Apps, Zoho CRM, Outlook, and a variety of other systems with clients can be connected with and downloaded.

There are also add-ons available for purchase, ranging from extra storage space, emailing capabilities right through Zoho software, or the ability to automatically extract resumes as attachments from emails.

Implementation/Integration

Zoho Recruit offers online training for its product. Training classes are held at numerous locations, most frequently in New York City. They are also held periodically online. Zoho forums also offer extensive support for users in implementing the new software. Overview videos explaining the product are on their Youtube channel.

Customer Service & Support

Zoho Corporation offers a globally available, 24/7 phone support system which is for paying customers of Creator, CRM, Books, Invoice, Mail, and Reports & Support.

The Zoho Help Page includes a database of FAQ’s that can be searched, so that users can view common questions from other organizations.

A series of documents, apps, and forums are also available as resources for customers that need assistance.

Pricing

There is a free plan for a single recruiter that includes basic applicant tracking features. Zoho Recruit also provides two pricing packages that include a wide range of features: Standard ($25 per user per month) and Enterprise ($50 per user per month).

Shortcomings

Some users have noted that it is difficult to get quality and timely phone support. Although Zoho Corporation offers global 24/7 phone support for most of its products, this is not yet available for Zoho Recruit customers.

Others have noted that in an ideal world, Zoho CRM and Zoho Recruit would be integrated. At present they are offered as two different products. The benefits of uniting them would be because many clients that are in CRM have ATS requirements that Recruit can better handle.

About

Zoho Corporation was founded in 1996 by former Qualcomm employee Sridhar Vembu.  It launched as a network management framework provider, focusing on the telecommunications and network equipment industries. Software included element management system (EMS) SNMP API. As the company evolved it expanded its products into the IT management field and the open source product field. In the wake of the cloud boom in 2005, Zoho Office Suite was launched, and eventually would include email, a word processor, and spreadsheets. Zoho Recruit ATS became one of the HR field’s most popular tools. Zoho’s primary competitors across a variety of product lines include Salesforce, Google, and Microsoft.

very poor support

on 2015-07-16 22:29:27

the zoho.com website clearly states that Social Integration is provided in the Standard plan, only to find out after paying that it is only provided in Enterprise. However, the worse problem is zoho support not knowing the product (zoho recruit), offering erroneous answers, obnoxious copy-and-pasting from the help manual as support response, and poor grammar. We are fortunate we didn't purchase an annual plan because this misleading website advertising and useless support would have eventually proved a bad investment. This is yet another example how overseas "support" ruins companies and is a warning to verify functionality before buying, not trusting website promotional text.
