Freshteam At A Glance
Product Overview
Freshteam is a human resource management system (HRMS) solution that’s intended for businesses of all sizes. This review focuses on its applicant tracking and onboarding features.
Freshteam’s applicant tracking solution lets recruiters streamline their hiring processes with automated workflows. They can create their company’s career site, post job openings to various sources, schedule interviews, collaborate with the hiring team and more. Recruiters can also stay on top of their pipelines and candidate communication with tools like resume parsing, keyword tagging, canned responses and notifications.
Freshteam has numerous benefits, such as:
- Increased transparency with candidates
- Improved collaboration between recruiter and hiring team
- Reduced hiring costs
- Integration with third-party applications, such as job boards, assessment tools, video interviewing software and background check providers
Features
Freshteam has robust features. We’ve discussed its key ones below.
Job openings management – Recruiters can set up custom workflows for each job posting and assign a hiring team to a specific job opening. They can also quickly create a job ad by choosing from over 100 templates or building their own and then adding it to multiple sourcing channels with a single click. They can also build a custom application form that screens for qualified candidates.
Candidate sourcing – With this feature, recruiters can acquire candidates from a variety of sources, such as job boards, social media sites, referrals or their company’s career site. The career site management feature lets them put together a branded site with their company’s logo and colors as well as tell stories about the company culture. Recruiters can add job postings and applications to their site. Then, as candidates send their resume or apply for a job, Freshteam automatically pulls their information into the applicant tracking system.
The software integrates with free and paid job boards, such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter and Adzuna, and social media channels like Facebook and Twitter. Recruiters can use custom tracking links to distinguish each sourcing channel. Finally, companies can work with external recruiters via the Freshteam vendor management portal feature that lets those recruiters see job postings and candidate profiles they’re assigned to and get weekly status updates.
Resume screening – Freshteam’s Candidate 360 feature stores all relevant information on a candidate (e.g., application, resume, interview notes, emails) in one place. Any new resumes that are uploaded into the software are parsed and populated into the candidate profile. Recruiters can tag those profiles using keywords for easier searching, and they can archive profiles of promising candidates for the future. They can also send the candidate’s resume or application to their hiring team for their feedback.
Candidate engagement – Recruiters can stay on top of candidate communication throughout the hiring process with automated workflows. As Freshteam syncs with Outlook and Gmail, recruiters can email candidates directly in the software. They can also add in canned responses to messages, set up automatic notifications to respond after various events (e.g., applications received, phone screens) and schedule email sends. They can also perform bulk actions with a single click, such as sending emails to multiple candidates at once.
Interview and offer management – Freshteam integrates with calendar tools like Office 365 and Google, so recruiters can easily check the hiring team’s availability and schedule interviews. During the interview, the hiring team can use scorecards to rate the candidate against various benchmarks. Once a candidate is decided, recruiters can send offer letters using configurable fields and templates.
Onboarding – New hires can electronically complete and sign paperwork before their first day. HR staff can set up a virtual checklist on various tasks and assign those tasks to IT or the new hire’s team members.
Mobile app – Available for Android and iOS devices, the Freshteam mobile app lets recruiters email candidates, advance them through the hiring process, collect feedback and more.
Reporting – Freshteam includes built-in reports on seven metrics: Candidate Pipeline, Candidate Sourcing, Candidates Profile, Rejected Candidates, Talent Pool, Job Postings, Interviews, Offers and Hires. Users can also create custom reports with filters and widgets and schedule them in advance. Additional features include PDF or CSV files export and the Presentation option that lets users present their findings to their team.
Integrations – As mentioned, Freshteam integrates with various job boards and social channels. Additional integrations include assessment tools (HackerRank, Codility, ClassMarker), video interviewing solutions (Google Meet, HackerRank CodePair, Zoom, Microsoft Teams), eSignature software (DocuSign, SignEasy) and background checks providers (Checkr, Authbridge).
