Product Overview

Arcoro (formerly BirdDogHR) is a comprehensive recruitment solution designed for the construction industry that has features to streamline every step of the hiring cycle – from employment branding and job distribution to applicant management and compliance reporting.

The solution helps companies reach more candidates, make better decisions, organize candidate information and accelerate the hiring process. This is done by:

  • Extending job distribution
  • Attracting better candidates
  • Helping ensure candidates complete their application
  • Building a talent bench
  • Managing communication with candidates
  • Simplifying the interview process
  • Maintaining compliance

Features

The goal of Arcoro’s recruitment and ATS solution is to alleviate hiring headaches by simplifying time-consuming tasks to attract top talent. By doing this, hiring managers can focus more on making the right decision the first time, saving time and money.

Some of the ATS features include:

  • Employment branding – The ATS is able to integrate into a company’s career page. This includes a keyword and location search function, making it easier for applicants to find jobs while improving their overall experience. It also allows the company to customize its branding and process flow by company division.
  • Job distribution – With Arcoro, a hiring manager can easily post to multiple job boards at once. The distribution network has over 350 free and niche job boards, including multiple that are specific to construction workers, trade workers and veterans. A company can also opt to attract top talent from fee-based boards if desired. To expand the candidate pool, this feature includes social sharing to platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Candidate management – This feature allows a hiring manager to easily screen and rank applicants side-by-side to make the best decision for the position. The module has a repository for job description, application and email templates to streamline communication between managers and candidates. It also keeps all candidate data in a central location, making it easy to retrieve vital information like background and drug screenings, resumes, assessments and more.
  • Compliance reporting – Arcoro specifically focuses on hiring federal contractors and subcontractors. To make sure its clients meet standards, it’s updated its software with the latest Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) regulations. It also provides clients with the documents for Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and VEVRAA/Section 503 reporting for audits.
  • AI texting assistant – Recruiters can reduce email usage and provide quick answers to candidates with the texting assistant. The assistant can be configured to match the company’s brand or job position, and it can engage with candidates online and by text. In addition, it captures the candidate’s information (e.g., contact) from the careers page, schedules interviews, pre-screens candidates and helps recruiters with outbound campaigns.

The Arcoro Onboarding module allows recruiters and new hires to complete the onboarding process efficiently and electronically, even at a construction work site. It integrates with the ATS module, so information from the new hire’s application is automatically pre-populated into the onboarding forms. There’s the Kiosk Mode feature that lets same-day hires, union workers and other new hire groups complete onboarding paperwork via the on-site computer or a tablet kiosk. Recruiters can track the new hire process with reporting tools. Finally, Arcoro Onboarding integrates with a third-party HRMS software or payroll solutions.
