Features
Freshteam has robust features. We’ve discussed its key ones below.
Applicant tracking – Recruiters can set up automation rules and other custom workflows. They can also post job ads to multiple sources (e.g., job boards, social media) in one click, screen candidates, collect feedback from the team with interview scorecards, and send out job offers and rejections. The hiring team can indicate their availability for interviews, get reminders and leave feedback on candidates. Finally, recruiters can run reports on various hiring metrics, such as time to hire or cost by source.
Onboarding – New hires can electronically complete and sign paperwork before their first day. HR staff can set up a virtual checklist on various tasks and assign those tasks to IT or the new hire’s team members.
Employee information system – With this feature, HR can create custom employee information forms with a drag-and-drop interface with over 20 predefined fields. Freshteam has a dynamic employee database and organizational chart for storing employee profiles (e.g., job role, manager, team), so if a staff member needs to update information on an employee, the chart is automatically updated.
Employees can see the org chart at a glance by company or by department and then drill down into their colleague’s profile for more information (e.g., email, phone number). With self-service features, they can also update their personal information and request time off. Note that Freshteam has security features that allow employees to update only specific data in their profiles based on access permissions set by HR.
Time-off management – HR can set up a custom time-off policy that fits their organization’s needs, allowing them to create holiday calendars or set leave accrual frequency. In addition, they can denote specific types of leave (e.g., vacation, sick, PTO), set up individual policies for multiple teams or locations, and automate time-off approval workflows. Finally, managers can track their team’s time-off requests, leave balances and any absenteeism trends in one place.
Mobile app – Available for Android and iOS devices, the Freshteam mobile app lets employees receive important updates, reach out to their colleagues or request time off. Recruiters can also email candidates, collect feedback and more.
Reporting – Freshteam includes built-in reports on 15 metrics: Candidate Pipeline, Candidate Sourcing, Candidates Profile, Rejected Candidates, Talent Pool, Job postings, Interviews, Offers and Hires, Employee Transfer Requests, Employee Probation Requests, Employee Turnover & Retention, Employee Profile, Employee Absence, Additions & Terminations.
Users can also create custom reports with filters and widgets, and schedule them in advance. Additional features include PDF or CSV files export and the Presentation option that lets users present their findings to their team.

Companies that want to enroll in a paid plan can sign up for a 21-day free trial. They can sign up online and begin using the software quickly. At the end of the trial, they can add their credit card information to their account and select a subscription plan.

Payroll, benefits performance management and learning management features aren’t currently offered. However, Freshteam noted that they’re integrated with 15Five, a performance management software and Razorpay Payroll, a payroll solution.
