Spotfire is a self-service business intelligence software that lets any user perform analyses, regardless of their role. End users can drill down into the data to figure out the root causes of business issues, as well as trends of hidden opportunities. TIBCO Spotfire has robust features, such as data wrangling, big data, visualization, natural language search and streaming data analytics.
The Spotfire platform can be deployed as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), on premise or a hybrid of both. For this post, we’ll focus on the pricing model of its SaaS (cloud) version, Cloud Spotfire.
Does Cloud Spotfire have a free trial?
Yes, prospective clients can sign up for a 30-day free trial that includes two Analyst, Business Author and Consumer seats each. Also, the trial has up to 250 GB of document storage.
Cloud Spotfire Pricing Plans
Cloud Spotfire has monthly or annual subscription based on the user’s job role. There are four plans, and each plan has the first two months of the subscription for free as an annual discount. Here are the pricing details of each plan:
Analyst
The Analyst plan targets data analysts and is available both in a web browser and as an installed desktop client. It costs $125 per month or $1,250 per year and comes with 250 GB of storage for each seat.
Business Author
The Business Author plan lets users create and edit dashboards and other visualizations, and they can also connect from Salesforce or Google Analytics data sources. It doesn’t include advanced analytics features that’s available for the Analyst role (e.g., predictive analytics), plus Business Authors can only work in Spotfire via a web browser. The plan costs $65 per month or $650 per year and comes with 100 GB of storage for each seat.
Consumer
The Consumer plan only allows users to view analyses. It costs $25 per month or $250 per year and must be purchased alongside at least one seat of the Analyst plan or the Business Author plan. Since this is a viewer-only plan, document storage isn’t available.
Library Storage
The plan is for companies that need additional document storage capacity. It costs $25 per month or $250 per year for 25 GB.
While this post focuses on Cloud Spotfire, we also want to point out that prospects can contact the vendor for pricing quotes for the on-premise and hybrid versions.
Finally, companies can purchase Cloud Spotfire as a turnkey Amazon Web Services (AWS) instance via the AWS marketplace. Pricing starts at 99 cents per hour.
