Implementation & Support

Qlik offers onboarding and robust support for each client. However, it also has three services for companies that want a more personalized experience. Pricing for each service is available by quote. The services are:

SaaS Start-Up Services

Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Start-Up Services are geared towards companies that are migrating to a Qlik Sense Cloud solution from on-premise deployment. Qlik staff provides guidance and best practices in three packages:

SaaS Starter

This package lets administrators implement their Qlik Sense SaaS tenant and manage any development workflows. It features:

  • A welcome program that consists of a dedicated resource hub, step-by-step guides, instructional videos, biweekly webinars and personalized checkpoints
  • A two-day in-person or virtual instructor-led systems administrator training course, and
  • Access to a remote team of Qlik’s SaaS experts during regular business hours.

SaaS Developer

The SaaS Developer package is more of a traditional implementation service where Qlik staff helps developers deploy their Qlik Sense solution. It includes all of the features of SaaS Starter, plus:

  • Solution design
  • Technical configuration
  • Demo Qlik Sense app deployment
  • A three-day virtual or in-person instructor-led Data Architect Training course
  • SaaS Discovery Administrator Training

SaaS Deployer

The SaaS Deployer package lets companies deploy their Qlik Sense solution into the cloud that’s developed and improved upon by Qlik staff. It includes all of the features of the SaaS Developer package, plus:

  • A 15-week blended (instructor-led and self-paced) Applied Data Analytics training course for up to five users
  • Migration from existing cloud-based business intelligence software to Qlik Sense
  • Customized application tailored to client’s Qlik Sense app

Qlik Signature Success

Qlik Signature Success is a “white-glove” experience where a Qlik Customer Success Manager (CSM) develops a personalized success plan aimed at the client’s unique requirements. The CSM acts as the main point of contact before, during and after implementation. The Qlik Signature Success plan includes:

  • Customized onboarding and training programs
  • Access to Customer Support Engineers who provide proactive tech expertise, risk mitigation and best practices
  • Senior Support Engineers, a specialized team that provides priority 24/7 tech support, including 15-minute response time to critical issues
  • Qlik Consulting staff that handles development and deployment work for the client
  • Exclusive invites to special events and closed-door meetings with Qlik Senior Leadership and R&D staff

Customer Success Engineers (CSEs)

For organizations that prefer technical expertise rather than the “white-glove” experience, Customer Success Engineers serve as the main point of contact and provides:

  • Twice-yearly standard reviews of the client’s software usage to maximize return on investment
  • Workshops to help users learn more about Qlik Sense
  • Case monitoring and escalation support, and
  • Comprehensive assessment and action plans to align software with best practices.

Clients can opt to purchase an Extended Customer Success Engineer plan for more hands-on assistance. It adds on:

  • Advanced workshops in a variety of topics
  • Face-to-face assistance
  • Support for client’s internal governance processes
  • Software installation, configuration and upgrades

Conclusion

Qlik Sense can be deployed in the cloud or on premise, and its two cloud-based plans have robust functionality. The vendor also offers a range of implementation and support services to fit the client’s needs. Prospective clients can sign up for a free trial or contact Qlik for more information.
