Product Overview

Oracle Talent Management Cloud is a robust talent management software solution that helps a human resources team better attract, engage and motivate top talent. The solution has applications and platform services designed for enterprises and midsize companies.

Collectively, its capabilities cover all of the critical milestones in the personnel lifecycle: sourcing and recruiting, learning and development, compensation, succession and talent review, and performance and goal management.

In addition, Oracle Talent Management Cloud includes social networking tools that allow companies with social sourcing capabilities to tap into internal social networks and rich staff networks to improve employee engagement and information sharing.

Embedded and integrated analytics are also incorporated into the platform to support sound data-driven decision making.

Oracle Talent Management Cloud has several modules that support flexible, workflow-driven talent management. We’ve featured the key ones below:

Recruiting – The recruiting feature allows organizations to build a more intelligent recruitment plan. Users can pull statistics of high-performing candidates to develop profiles that use multi-tiered assessments and criteria screening to make sure the most qualified applications reach the employers’ desk. Consumer-like experiences ensure top candidates receive a positive impression of a recruiter’s brand.

Performance management – This tool allows for point-in-time evaluation of employee performance. With embedded analytics, a user-friendly interface and a template-driven setup, users can configure the performance workflow to match their company’s practices. Managers can bring in informal kudos from co-workers to round out evaluations, as well as view worker ratings in the performance document, side by side.

Learning – This module gives users a 360-degree solution for tracking, managing and reporting on all forms of informal and formal learning. With complete control of the user interface, companies can create a truly unique user experience. End users get convenient access to learning resources via virtual, classroom, on-the-job and online training, along with self-reported training, social learning and assessments.

Goal management – Organizations can manage, track, and set individual and company-wide goals, then sync them with the entire talent management process through this module. Business leaders begin by sharing high-level goals. Then, managers and personnel can collaborate to identify, choose and execute goals that align with the company’s direction. The product also supports ongoing conversations about employee performance and tracks their career development by fostering goal-related missions with actionable tasks.

Workforce Reputation Manager (WRM) –  WRM is a proprietary application designed to assist companies in monitoring, tracking and establishing staff members’ social media policy compliance, while simultaneously offering recruiters and HR additional insights into the social reputation of candidates. The application tracks both public, external networks like Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as internal data to ensure personnel are complying with corporate social media policies.

Some users have reported specific processes take up a lot of their time – i.e., they require too many clicks, rather than a single-click step.

Also, people have said the search function isn’t effective. In several cases, it didn’t take them back to a previous, expected screen.
