Product Overview
In late 2019, Xerox introduced a new line of production-oriented MFPs known as PrimeLink. The PrimeLink family includes upgraded print technology, flexible media options, additional security features and the ability to improve productivity with Xerox App Gallery of tools. This review focuses on the PrimeLink B9100 Series
The PrimeLink B9100 Series include four devices that offer standard printing, copying and scanning features. They are:
- The B9100, which prints at up to 100 ppm,
- The B9110, which prints at up to 110 ppm,
- The B9125, which prints at up to 125 ppm, and
- The B9136, which prints at up to 136 ppm.
The maximum monthly duty cycle is 3 million pages, but Xerox recommends an average print run of 70,000 to 700,000 pages per month. The first-copy-out time ranges from 2.1 seconds to 3.5 seconds, depending on the device.
The printers come with the Xerox Copy/Print Server that has a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB of memory and a 320 GB hard drive. There’s also a 10.4″ color touchscreen flat panel. The server supports a variety of printing languages, including PCL, PostScript and PDF. As mentioned, there’s the Xerox App Gallery that allows users to customize their printer with the variety of applications that best fit their needs. The B9100 Series support mobile printing and scanning. The @PrintByXerox app lets users print documents from any email-enabled device without having to download software.
Xerox offers an optional Fiery EX B9100 Series Print Server. More details on the server and other features is in our Features section below.
