Product Overview
The IM 550F and IM 600SRF black-and-white MFPs join Ricoh’s line of Intelligent Devices that allow businesses to access the latest technological features without having to buy a new MFP. Administrators simply download any new application, feature, or upgrade from the device as soon as they’re available, thanks to Ricoh’s Always Current technology.
Both devices include standard printing, copying, scanning and faxing. The IM 550F prints at up to 57 ppm, while the IM 600SRF has an engine speed of 62 ppm. The first-page-out time is approximately six seconds.
There’s a 10.1″ Smart Operation Panel, which includes improvements such as an upgraded processor for faster access to applications. The panel can be personalized with the client’s logo, and also includes web-help and how-to videos for guiding end users.
Ricoh also offer customized applications or workflows that can be standardized throughout the company or within cloud-hosted user profiles (so individuals or departments can access specific workflows). Those settings or workflows can be rolled over to the new device once the current MFP reaches end of life.
More details is in our Features section below.
Features
Paper input/output: Both devices come with a 500-sheet tray and a 100-sheet bypass. Users can optionally add up to four 500-sheet trays for a maximum capacity of 2,600 sheets. The trays support up to legal-sized (8.5″ x 14″) paper. There’s also a standard 100-sheet single-pass duplexing feeder. The IM 550F has a standard 500-sheet output tray and an optional offline stapler. The IM 600SRF has a 250-sheet exit tray and a 250-sheet internal finisher with 50-sheet single-position stapling.
Multifunctional features: Each device includes a 1.3 GHz processor, 2 GB of memory, and a 320 GB hard drive. PCL and a PostScript emulation is standard. Genuine Adobe PostScript is optional. UBS and Ethernet connectivity is standard, and wireless is optional. The devices support mobile printing and scanning via Ricoh’s Smart Device Connector app, Mopria, Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print.
Scan-to functions include email, folder (SMB and FTP) and USB. The fax function includes a 33.6kbps modem with 4 MB of memory. Users can purchase additional memory of up to 60 MB.
Toner cartridges: The IM 550F ships with a 10,000-page starter toner, while the starter toner on the IM 600SRF is 11,000 pages. The aftermarket toner is 25,500 pages for both devices, but the IM 600SRF also has a higher-yield 14,000-page cartridge.
