Product Overview

The new bizhub C3300i and C4000i color printers join Konica Minolta’s i-Series line of devices that use Internet of Things (IoT) technology to streamline workflows and foster collaboration in a mobile workforce. The series serve as a smart technology hub that combines all workflows into one place.

The printers include a 7″ customizable touchscreen panel with an interface that works like a mobile device. Users can customize the interface with apps from Konica Minolta Marketplace.

The bizhub C3300i ($1,048) prints at up to 33 ppm, while the C4000i ($1,258) prints at up to 40 ppm. Both devices include a quad-core CPU processor and 4 GB of memory. PostScript and PCL printing languages are supported. USB, Ethernet and wireless connectivity are standard. Mobile printing is supported via the Konica Minolta Mobile Print app as well as AirPrint and Mopria.

The printers include a voice-activated feature, so users can provide voice commands without touching the device.

More details are in our Features section below.

Konica Minolta continues to bring innovative features that help the workplace collaborate better and improve productivity. The bizhub C4000i Series provide robust features for businesses that only need a single-function printer.

Paper handling: Paper handling starts with two 500-sheet paper trays and a 100-sheet bypass. Users can optionally add up to two addtional 500-sheet paper trays for a maximum capacity of 1,600 sheets.

Standard output capacity is 250 sheets and there’s an optional 20-sheet offline stapler.

Security features: Standard security features include user authentication, IP filtering, print user data encryption and secure print, to name a few. Konica Minolta offers optional ID card authentication, authentication by mobile device and biometric authentication via a finger vein scanner.

Cost per page: We’ve calculated the cost per page (based on the yields and prices of each toner and imaging unit) as a penny in black and 6.7 cents in color. The high yields of the consumables, along with other environmental features (e.g., duplexing) help companies save money on operating costs.
