Product Overview
HP recently expanded its color single-function printer lineup with the introduction of the Color LaserJet Enterprise M751 Printer series. There are two printers in this series: the M751n and M751dn. The M751n is the base model, while the M751dn adds on standard automatic duplexing. Both printers run at up to 40 ppm in black and color.
Using the HP ImageREt 4800 print technology, the M751 Series can print up to a 1,200dpi resolution. First-page-out time in color is 6.1 seconds. There’s a 2.7″ LCD rotating display with a 24-key pad.
The M751 Series start with a 1.2 GHz processor and 1.5 GB of memory (expandable to 2 GB). HP offers an optional 500 GB hard drive. PCL, PostScript and native PDF printing languages are supported. USB and Ethernet are standard, while wireless connectivity is optional. Mobile printing is supported via HP ePrint, Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print and Mopria-certified apps.
More details are in our Features section below.
The Color LaserJet Enterprise M751 Series include robust features for medium-sized offices that’s looking to improve their productivity and operating costs with a single-function color printer.
Features
The M751 Series comes with a 550-sheet tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray. Both trays support ledger-sized paper. HP offers optional paper trays for a total capacity of 4,450 sheets: up to two 550-sheet trays, one 550-sheet tray with a cabinet stand and a 2,700-sheet high-capacity tray with cabinet stand. The monthly duty cycle is 150,000 pages, but HP recommends an average volume of 40,000 pages a month.
Output capacity is a 250-sheet bin. There are no finishing options available.
As noted above, the M751dn includes automatic duplexing. Additional printing features are print preview, printing multiple pages per sheet, watermarks, collation, and storing print jobs.
Similar to other HP printers, the M751 Series has the HP Sure Start security feature that helps prevent any viruses, malware or other attacks. With the Sure Start feature, a printer can self-detect an attempted attack and if such an attack occurs, will reboot itself and send a notification to the IT administrator.
The printers ship with a 7,000-page black and 6,000-page color toner cartridges. Users have the option of purchasing higher-yield replacement cartridges (28,000 pages yield for each color and 33,000 pages yield for black). We weren’t able to find prices for the cartridges in order to calculate the cost per page. Users can take advantage of the higher-yield cartridges and other environmentally-friendly features to help keep printing costs down.
Finally, there’s a one-year onsite, next business day warranty.
