Dayforce HCM is a cloud-based, end-to-end solution that offer all aspects of the HR process from recruiting and hiring employees to maintaining payroll/time & attendance to managing company benefits. It has everything in one place so users, depending on their roles, can access the specific functionality that pertains to them. Companies won’t have to worry about accessing and  maintaining multiple platforms.

Benefits of Dayforce HCM include consolidated processes and reduced time-consuming tasks for HR and payroll – all of the information on an employee is in one place. Employees also benefit as they can access their personnel information (such as vacation and sick time) from a desktop or mobile device. Another benefit is that it is deployed via SaaS, so there is no additional hardware to purchase and maintain.

Features

Dayforce HCM has several features, which are indicated below. However, we want to point out one feature called Dayforce Touch. Dayforce Touch is a time & attendance system that allows employees to punch in and out via a tablet-based clock. It is an alternate feature to a traditional time clock. This feature helps in reducing incidents of “buddy punching” (where an employees punches in and out for another employee) and complying with federal and state labor laws. Employees can review their schedule and hours worked, as well as request time off. Managers can check on the work schedule and employee availability. The Dayforce Touch include different ways of employee recognition, such as PIN, bar code, and facial recognition technology.

Ceridian partners with three consulting companies in the implementation process: Axsium Group, Sability, and Wise Consulting.  Each company helps the client in assessing requirements, risks, and issues. They also handle system testing, deployment, and provide training.

Customer Service & Support

Ceridian offers online and phone support tailored specifically for their products. For instance, there is a specific support portal for Dayforce HCM customers.  In this portal, customers can access a knowledge base, submit a help ticket, or manage profiles and subscriptions.  For phone support, Dayforce users can call 1-866-748-7066.

Shortcomings

Some users have reported that customer service tend to be slow in solving issues.  Also, some users find the reporting module could use improvement, such as providing an easier way to find and filter data.
