Product Overview

ICM Document Solutions develops, implements, and supports a full suite of content and document management software.  We’ll briefly discuss the optional modules, but we’ll focus the review on ViewCenter.

ViewCenter is a content and document management solution that’s accessible from any device with an Internet connection (desktop, laptop, mobile). It’s flexible for businesses of any size, and it can be customized based on a company’s specific needs.

ViewCenter provides other benefits, including:

  • Securely storing and managing documents
  • Helping companies adhere to legal and other regulatory compliance
  • Minimizing or eliminating paper use
  • Reducing expenses associated with handling and storing paper
  • Integration options with a company’s existing system or applications

ICM also created a suite of supporting modules to further enhance the capabilities of ViewCenter:

InfoCenter is a web portal that allows businesses to share documents and other content with their clients or customers. It can be used for handling vendor access to invoices or enabling external access to public records. Users can keep InfoCenter content secure by determining which external users can access content and requiring them to register before seeing any content.

FormsCenter is a web form tool that enables companies to easily create web forms using a drag-and-drop form creation tool, and then map those form fields to a template PDF in order to capture form submissions directly in to ViewCenter. A business can use FormsCenter for online vendor registration forms or internal policy forms. Forms submissions can even be captured on offline devices and synchronized to ViewCenter once the device resumes an internet connection.

ScanCenter is a department-level intelligent paper capture tool that uses full-page OCR recognition to intelligently recognize standardized forms and capture indexing data. Scanned images can be run through various image clean-up options including deskew, background cleanup, hole punch removal and blank page deletion. A business can use ScanCenter for scanning delivery receipts in a shipping department or receiving documents in a quality control department.

ViewCenter can be deployed as either an on-premise or SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solution. File storage for on-premise deployments can be configured to use physical drive storage or to leverage cloud services (Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS).  The average time to implement ViewCenter is about four to six weeks (estimate a function of coordinating ICM/client calendars but can realistically be implemented in much less time).

ICM includes, at no additional cost, access to the ViewCenter Web API for the purpose of integrating ViewCenter with any other line of business or departmental applications their customers may use.  ICM can also support customers with any development tasks required to connect those applications if the customer doesn’t have internal resources available.

The iCapture and ScanCenter tools aren’t supported on Mac operating systems. ICM also doesn’t offer a self-deployment option or a proprietary file viewer.
