Product Overview

The AltaLink B8100 Series, consisting of three black-and-white MFPs, is embedded with Xerox’s ConnectKey technology of cloud and digital workflows that helps users collaborate and work from anywhere. They have standard printing, copying and scanning features and optional faxing, and range in engine speed from 45 ppm to 72 ppm.

Here are the three MFPs:

  • The AltaLink B8145 prints and copies at 45 ppm and has a monthly duty cycle of 200,000 pages.
  • The AltaLink B8155 prints and copies at 55 ppm and has a monthly duty cycle of 250,000 pages.
  • The AltaLink B8170 prints and copies at 72 ppm and has a monthly duty cycle of 300,000 pages.

The devices include the 1.91 GHz processor, 4 GB of memory and a 128 GB SSD. There’s also an optional 500 GB hard drive. The 10.1″ color touchscreen includes access to the Xerox App Gallery, so users can download the Xerox or third-party apps for customizing workflows. A few of the apps are Xerox Translate and Print, Xerox Audio Documents and Xerox Note Converter.

PCL and PostScript are supported. USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity are standard. Users can print from and scan to a variety of mobile apps, such as Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, Mopria, Xerox Print Service Plug-in for Android and Near Field Communication (NFC) devices.

We also want to point out the Smart Proximity Sensor that saves energy during idle times and automatically activates when a user is walking up to the device.
