Product Overview

The new Konica Minolta bizhub 458 and 558 replaces the older bizhub 554e Series. Like the bizhub 308 and 368, the bizhub 458 and 558 are black-and-white MFPs with standard printing, copying, scanning and optional faxing functions.

The bizhub 458 ($12,995) prints and copies at up to 45ppm. Its first copy out time is 4 seconds and its monthly duty cycle is 200,000 pages per month. The bizhub 558 ($23,214) runs at up to 55ppm and includes a first-copy-time of 3.5 seconds and a monthly duty cycle of 250,000 pages.

Both devices includes 4GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive. PCL, PostScript and XPS printing languages are supported. USB and Ethernet are standard, while Wi-Fi is optional. Mobile printing is supported via AirPrint, Google Cloud Print and NFC-enabled devices.

The models feature Konica Minolta’s INFO-Palette Design control panel, which consists of a 9″ color screen that has a touch-and-swipe functionality commonly found on mobile devices. You can customize commonly used workflows right on the screen. The interface includes a new area for mobile connectivity, as well as an optional voice guidance system for hearing screen instructions. And a web browser is included as a standard feature, providing support for a wide variety of apps.

More details are found in our Features section below.

Like its other Konica Minolta counterparts, the bizhub 458 and 558 provides strong features for the offices that have medium-volume printing needs but doesn’t require color output.
