Product Overview
The new Scan Station 730EX Plus Scanner is an integrated network scanner that’s designed to streamline document management processes. It has a simplex scanning speed of up to 70 ppm and a duplex speed of up to 140 ipm. The Scan Station 730 EX Plus includes network connectivity, so users won’t need to connect it to a PC. However, it has an embedded Windows 10 IoT Enterprise operating system, so it can automatically receive Microsoft’s security updates.
The scanner has an integrated OCR engine that allows users to convert files into text-searchable PDF or other file formats (e.g., JPEG, TIFF, Word, Excel). Its touschreen includes several configurable one-touch buttons for easier scanning workflows. Users can scan files to a variety of outputs, including network, print, email, fax, portable USB drive, FTP, Kodak Front Office Server and Microsoft Office365/Sharepoint. The 730EX Plus scans to additional cloud applications via API integration. There’s a built-in microphone and speaker so users can record any voice messages as a file attachment.
The Scan Station 730EX Plus has a 75-sheet automatic document feeder that supports ID cards, letter-sized and other paper sizes. There’s an optional legal-sized flatbed accessory. The minimum document size is 2″ x 2.5″ while the maximum is 8.5″ x 34″. The recommended daily volume is 10,000 pages.
