Product Overview

NinjaRMM is a cloud-based remote monitoring and management software (RMM) that helps Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and IT professionals simplify their tasks. It monitors the entire infrastructure (e.g., endpoints, network, virtual machines) and sends alerts if there’s any issues. NinjaRMM also has automated tools that improve productivity, so technicians can focus on more critical things.

There are numerous benefits to NinjaRMM, such as:

  • Reduced network downtime
  • Improved client satisfaction
  • Increased revenue
  • No hidden fees or contracts (i.e., onboarding and support included in pricing)

Features

NinjaRMM has many features. Here are some of its key ones.

Platform administration – NinjaRMM has customizable branding, so users can add their company’s logo or colors to the portal. Users can also give their clients or end users full or limited access to the software, and two-factor authentication access is granted to users who can access endpoints or make any changes within the software.

IT automation and scripting – The policy management engine allows users to set up and run automations for various tasks like backups, antivirus management, patch management and remote access. Users can leverage the 50-script library for dragging and dropping scripts, and they can also create a custom script in multiple languages (e.g., Powershell, Javascript). Finally, users can decide how, when and where to run automations by device, location, group or the entire company.

Endpoint management – Endpoint management refers to workstations, laptops and Windows servers. The feature monitors all endpoints and sends alerts if there’s any discrepancies. NInjaRMM comes with over 100 alert conditions out of the box, and users can customize those alerts based on severity and priority. The maintenance mode feature lets users selectively disable alerts for specific devices to reduce alarm fatigue.

An additional feature is remote access, where users can manage any device on any network from wherever they are. NinjaRMM integrates with remote desktop software, such as TeamViewer, Splashtop and RDP, so users can control attended or unattended endpoints with a single click. And the patch management feature automatically scans and applies necessary patches to endpoints and over 120 third-party solutions (e.g., Adobe, Chrome).

Network management – The software scans all SNMP devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and provides users with any abnormal results via the real-time dashboard. There’s a discovery wizard that automatically finds new devices based on IP range and automatically identifies the device role based on its characteristics. Additional network management features include NetFlow monitoring and Syslog monitoring.

Virtual machines monitoring – With this feature, users can manage their clients’ virtual networks. NinjaRMM continuously monitors the host machine and virtual machine and alerts users of any issues. In addition, users can create and manage snapshots, optimize storage usage and start or stop virtual machines.

Reporting – Users can create reports with the report builder on various metrics, such as infrastructure health, software inventory, device additions and platform activity. The report can include charts and graphs, and users can also add in their company’s logo. Finally, the Activity Insights feature gives users a comprehensive and searchable activity list, and users can drill down into the details of each activity.

Mobile app – NinjaRMM’s mobile app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices, allows users to access features on the go, such as receiving critical alerts, accessing data and fixing client issues.
