WorkWise gives customers the tools to plan everything from the shop floor to delivery so they can streamline operations and grow their businesses. The solution focuses on discrete manufacturers, and it was designed to meet this industry’s various challenges and complexities.

WorkWise allows users to make informed, data-driven decisions that can shorten cycle times, optimize supply chain management, streamline planning and execution, and improve communication. It’s excellent for lean manufacturing environments.

Features

Because WorkWise is an all-encompassing ERP solution, it has a wide range of features in various categories. Here’s a brief summary of each of the software’s core features:

  • Marketing, sales and customer service – WorkWise offers a robust customer relationship management (CRM) system that streamlines quoting and estimating, order management, returns and warranties. The system also includes an e-commerce gateway, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and more.
  • Engineering –The Engineering Suite helps users maintain data and stay in sync with their CAD database through bidirectional integration.  It supports a direct interface with SOLIDWORKS CAD 3D and PDM. It also offers integration with other CAD solutions like AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor and Solid Edge. The module includes a product configurator, a routings application that promotes accurate and flexible scheduling, and a supply-chain integrated Bills of Material (BOM) application.
  • Planning – WorkWise can help clients with multiple planning activities, including planning capacity with real-time adjustments to resolve production conflicts and material requirements for product scheduling and forecasting, managing production schedules to better predict material requirements, and generating accurate statistical forecasts through a Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP).
  • Materials – The Materials suite allows users to control all materials’ distribution functions, including shipping, purchasing and requisitions, inventory, mobile data collection, shipper integration (UPS/FedEx) and more.
  • Production – The Production suite has tools that streamline users’ manufacturing processes so they can fully understand shop floor changes, manage quality and schedule maintenance operations. It includes a real-time shop-floor activity database, production dispatch and data collection system, maintenance tracker and Kanban visualization communication system.
  • Finance – Manage all of a company’s financials, including job cost, standard cost, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, payroll, human resources and more with this tool.
  • Documents – The Documents suite allows users to access and link documents, generate barcode labels, retain and transfer knowledge though the Business Process Repository (BPR), capture data electronically and maintain a library of business processes.
  • Analytics – With the Analytics suite, users can view graphs and data, and receive desktop notifications and mobile alerts. It includes business metrics, an event manager and data journaling.
