With its shop floor control feature, managers can respond to customer job status inquiries in real time. Job order optimization: Whether a manufacturer is converting a quote to a job, replicating a former job or designing a job from the ground up, Realtrac’s software eliminates unnecessary and repetitive tasks. From the Job Order Entry screen, users can modify existing jobs, create new jobs, retrieve jobs quickly (by part number, purchase order, customer code, reference number, description, job number or drawing number), and designate shipment schedules for jobs with different times for delivery.
Shop floor control: Realtrac gives users a detailed view of what happens on the shop floor, work sessions and the status of ongoing jobs. The Shop Floor Status screen tells users what jobs are running on which machines. For every job, they can see the run status, actual and estimated hours, operation and drawing numbers, and the log-on time of personnel. All these capabilities give users thorough control of the shop floor.
Electronic visual whiteboard: Rightboard®, Realtrac’s scheduling and machine loading tool, is an electronic visual whiteboard that reacts in real time to help shops use the right machine to run the right job at the right time – streamlining workflow, cutting production costs, improving efficiency and providing on-time deliveries. Additionally, it acts as a visual tool to help managers run a shop efficiently from job-to-job throughout the day.
Data collection: Realtrac lets users collect a diverse range of data – from where bottlenecks occur, to how many hours each job takes – to improve decision making. Additionally, users get to choose from a variety of reporting methods on data associated with shop activities, including computer-supported entry from personnel time tickets, PC entry by administrative employees, and real-time barcode data collection from shop floor tablets or desktop PCs.

When it comes to estimating a bill of materials (BOM) or other bill items, Realtrac users can’t identify per-unit cost based on applicable quantity discounts from suppliers.
Some users have also reported that verifying inventory accuracy can be challenging. Additionally, the tool isn’t date-sensitive for inventory reporting and other “what-if” cases.
