ERPNext Pricing: Costs and Pricing Plans

Disclaimer: We source public information for ERPNext’s pricing, including its own site. All pricing information within this resource is accurate at the time of publication.

ERPNext is an open-source enterprise resource planning (ERP) system aimed at small and  medium-sized businesses. It offers extensive functionality that’s integrated into a single platform for easy management. Some of the modules include financial accounting, Human Resource management, manufacturing, sales management, customer relationship management (CRM), project management, asset management and content management.

In this post, we’ll discuss the ERPNext pricing model in more detail.

Is ERPNext Open Source Free?

ERPNext’s open source, on-premise plan is free to download and install, and it includes all of its modules. However, it doesn’t offer free support. Users that require professional customer support can purchase a contract that covers priority bug fixes, in-app support, help during software upgrades and security alerts. Even though the software is free to install, companies will have to consider the labor costs of installation and maintenance.

ERPNext Pricing Plans

ERPNext has four paid pricing plans.

Managed Hosting (Cloud)

The Managed Hosting plan is a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solution that accommodates unlimited users and comes with security updates and a product warranty. ERPNext offers a 14-day free trial.

Small Business

The Small Business plan starts at $50 per month and is best for companies with 50 employees.

Enterprise

The Enterprise plan requires a custom quote. It adds on an account manager, priority Service Level Agreements (SLAs), phone support, and large database support.

Conclusion

ERPNext provides flexible pricing options. Companies that prefer the open source version will need to keep in mind any labor and other costs in customization and maintenance, and that the vendor doesn’t offer free support. The Managed Hosting plan may be a good fit for organizations that don’t want to host the software, while other plans may be beneficial for companies with more than 10 users.
