PandaDoc At A Glance
Product Overview
PandaDoc is a cloud-based contract management software used by sales and marketing teams, and their leadership.
The software helps users create quotes, proposals and contracts; collect electronic signatures and more. It provides users with templates for a variety of proposals that can be customized. Additionally, teams can collaborate within the software, and log activity and changes to any documents. PandaDoc’s updated built-in editor makes updating and creating forms an easy task for all users.
PandaDoc also provides analytics for users on who has viewed proposals and how much time is spent reviewing them, and gives users an at-a-glance look at proposal performance.
PandaDoc integrates easily with Salesforce, ProsperWorks, HubSpot and other solutions.
Features
Some of the key features of PandaDoc are:
- Contract management – A centralized storage location for all contracts is essential and is the mainstay of most contract management solutions. The contract management feature ensures contracts are all in one spot and easy to find when a contract needs to be referenced, modified or amended.
- Compliance tracking – PandaDoc automates tracking for compliance issues. Typically, a contract manager would need to monitor whether actions have been performed, such as payments made or goods delivered.
- CPQ functionality – Configure, price, quote (CPQ) functionality allows users to create proposals and quotes quickly and without error.
- Audit trail – The audit trail logs every change, update and detail of your document’s progress.
- Automated approvals – Users can create an internal workflow so documents will be automatically sent for approval before being sent to an external recipient.
- Branding – PandaDoc allows users to customize templates with their company’s logo and theme.

Customer Service & Support

Pricing
PandaDoc offers four different plan types, including its Enterprise plan, which is fully customized and offered by quote only.
The other pricing tiers are:
- Free eSign – The free eSign version only allows for signatures, document uploads and payments. You can have as many users as you like.
- Essentials – With the Essentials plan, users can take advantage of all the features included in the free plan. They also have access to templates, media, the drag-and-drop document editor and document analytics. This tier is $25 per user, per month or $19 per user, per month if paid annually.
- Business – The Business plan is PandaDoc’s most popular pricing tier. Users can connect the solution to their customer relationship management (CRM) solution and automate document workflows from start to finish. It also includes a content library, custom branding and the approval workflow feature. The cost for the Business tier is $59 per user, per month or $49 per user, per month if purchased annually.
- Enterprise – Enterprise is the most expensive subscription tier and includes SSO support, custom user roles, integration with Salesforce, performance reporting and an unlimited number of workspaces. This is the most customizable plan, and businesses can select the add-ons that are most useful to them. PandaDoc doesn’t publicly release pricing information for the Enterprise tier. Please contact the vendor directly for a quote.
Shortcomings
PandaDoc has a lot of great features that come with the Free, Essentials, Business and Enterprise plans, but if you’re looking for certain additional features, you’ll have to pay more for each one per user.
Additionally, the solution can be costly for smaller businesses that have large teams that need access. You may outgrow your plan and need to upgrade to the Enterprise plan.

About
Founders Mikita Mikado and Sergey Barysuik know how it feels to design a business proposal from start to finish without the help of a contract management solution – and that’s why they had the idea for PandaDoc in 2011. The two spent over six hours trying to design a business proposal, and after losing patience, they came up with the PandaDoc concept.
PandaDoc’s mission is to “empower sellers to easily transact with customers through personalized documents that can be created in minutes, build meaningful relationships and win more deals.”
In 2012, PandaDoc’s first office opened in Minsk, Belarus, and in 2014, the vendor moved to Silicon Valley. There’s also another new office in St. Petersburg, FL.
In 2020, PandaDoc was recognized by TrustRadius. It received a 2020 Top Rated Award for Electronic Signatures.
