Shortcomings

Technical problems can include issues with clocking in and out. Some users have reported difficulties with enrolling new employees in the hand punch time clock system.

When employees must be paid for working holidays or a training day, the manager must make a manual correction to the system.

Other users experienced multiple changes with account managers.

Also, APS Payroll no longer offers a small business-only package.

About

APS is here to help small and midsize businesses harness the power of the cloud to improve workforce management and mitigate compliance risk so you can grow and succeed. They’re proud of the software they develop and how they help customers achieve goals by decreasing labor costs, streamlining inefficient processes, and improving engagement with their employees.

Based in Shreveport, Louisiana, they began in 1996 by offering payroll processing and full-service tax compliance services. In 2000, they made the strategic decision to develop our their technology. From that decision, the APS cloud solution was born: a highly flexible and powerful system for core HR, payroll, and time & attendance delivered over a private cloud. Since then, they have expanded their technology platform to include self-service for employees and managers, mobile access, carrier connections, and extensive data integration capabilities.
