Product Overview
Fujitus has added three new scanners to its Scan Partners (SP) line of entry-level devices intended for small offices with low-volume scanning needs. They are: the SP-1120 ($395), which scans at up to 20 ppm (40 ipm), the SP-1130 ($495), which scans at up to 30 ppm (60 ipm) and the SP-1425 ($695), which scans at up to 25 ppm (50 ipm). Aside from speed, the main difference among the three scanners is that the SP-1425 includes a standard flatbed platen that scans at up to letter-size (8.5″ x 11″) documents.
The scanners can scan a variety of documents from plastic cards to long paper up to 120″. The minimum paper size is 2″ x 2.9″ on the SP-1120 and SP-1130 (4.5″ x 5.5″ on the SP-1425) and the maximum paper size is 8.5″ x 14″.
Ultrasonic multi-feed detection is supported. USB connectivity is standard.

The compact SP-1120, SP-1130 and SP-1425 includes some of the robust features of Fujitsu’s fi line, yet are good starters for offices that either need to digitize their paper records or have low-volume scanning needs.
Features
Scan input resolution can go up to 600 dpi (with 1,200 dpi interpolation) in both grayscale and color. There is a wide range of image enhancement tools such as automatic color detection, automatic page size detection, blank page detection, multiple image output and thresholding, as well as image orientation and paper deskew.
Fujitsu also includes its Scanner Central Admin functionality which allows users to perform scanner monitoring features (such as running status and consumable status) from a single location.
Bundled software for document management functionality are PaperStream IP, PaperStream Capture Lite, Presto! PageManager, and ABBYY FineReader Sprint.
Finally, there’s a one-year depot warranty.

Shortcomings
Networking connectivity is not supported. Also, the scanners aren’t compatible with Mac operating systems.
