Product Overview
The Epson WorkForce WF-7210 is a single-function wide-format color printer. It joins its multifunction siblings, the WF-7710 Series, in Epson’s lineup.
At $199.99, the WF-7210 prints at up to 18ppm (ISO) in black and up to 10ppm (ISO) in color. Similar to other Epson devices, the printer uses Epson’s inkjet technology, PrecisionCore. PrecsionCore uses a high-density print chip that can generate up to 40 million precise dots per second.
There is a 2.2″ LCD control panel. USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Mobile printing is also supported via the Epson Connect solution. Within the Epson Connect are the following features: Email Print, iPrint Mobile App, and Remote Print. Users can also print via the Apple AirPrint, Kindle Fire and Google Cloud Print.
More details is in our Features section below.
With its flexible paper handling and capacity, mobile printing and lower operating costs, the WorkForce WF-7210 can be a good buy for small offices that need wide-format printing.
Features
Paper handling consists of two 250-sheet trays and a rear-feed specialty tray for a capacity of 500 sheets. Output capacity is 125 sheets. As it’s a wide-format printer, the WF-7210 supports paper sizes of up to 13″ x 19″.
Automatic duplexing is standard.
In terms of replacement ink, Epson offers both standard and high-capacity ink in four individual cartridges. It also offers an extra-high-capacity black ink cartridges with a yield of 2,200 pages. We’ve done our cost-per-page calculations based on the yield and prices of the extra-high-capacity black and high-capacity yellow/cyan/magenta cartridges. Therefore, the cost per page is 3.1 cents in black and 11.3 cents in color.
These calculations prove that the operating costs are pretty reasonable (color cost per page can average 15 cents in inkjet devices). By using the higher capacity replacement ink cartridges, duplex printing and other environmental features, users can save on printing costs in the long run.
And finally, there is a one-year limited warranty.

About
Epson America is a division of Japan-based Seiko Epson Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of imaging products, semiconductors, liquid crystal displays, and watches. The company has been an innovative designer of ink jet printers and sells an extensive product line. Most of these are geared to home and school use, but Epson continues to extend its line further into the office environment.
Epson has been making a more aggressive play for the document scanner market, although the company’s been in the multipurpose office scanner business for years. The models and other additions to its model line seem to be part of an effort to further extend its current scanner technology. As part of this effort, Epson makes these scanners available in consumer electronics stores such as Best Buy, along with Epson dealers and on its website.
