There is a LCD panel for customizing common scanning workflows, getting statuses of scanning counts, and displaying notifications of any scanning errors. Users can customize up to 99 pre-programmed scanning tasks.

More details on the DR-M260 is in our Features section below.
We want to note that the DR-M260 has a five-year advanced exchange warranty. This is remarkable as most scanners’ warranty usually is good for only three months or even a year.
The imageFORMULA DR-M260 helps large workgroups and departments with high-volume scanning improve efficiency.
Features
The DR-M260 supports a wide range of documents, such as ID cards and business cards. It can handle paper size from 1.9″ x 2.13″ up to 8.5″ x 14″. It also supports long document mode of up to 220″.
The DR-M260 has strong native imaging technology, and comes with dynamic thresholding and smoothing as well as text enhancement. In addition, Canon provides auto color detection, so they can detect pages with color to eliminate pre-sorting of mixed batch documents. Other features include automatic size detection and deskewing, so that various-size documents in a batch are handled without operator intervention.
The DR-M260 also supports multi-streaming, folio mode, blank page skipping, text orientation and automatic resolution setting. Ultrasonic double-feed detection is included as well as double-feed release and feeding retry.
Bundled software includes Canon CapturePerfect, Kofax Virtual ReScan (VRS) Professional and Canon Capture OnTouch V4. The scanner can integrate with content management systems.
Canon also offers several options, such as a flatbed scanner unit, barcode module, exchange roller kit and carrier sheets for scanning letter-sized papers and passports.

About
Canon is the number-one copier company in the U.S. if measured by the total number of units sold.
The company has an impressive line of multifunctional devices, and it’s one of the leaders in this market. Most of Canon’s multifunction printer (MFP) line carries the imageRUNNER brand name.
Over the years, Canon’s print controller strategy has involved partnering with EFI, the third-party controller company that dominates the color market. The company also relies on controllers developed by Canon itself. The controllers, which feature Canon’s IP architecture (the “IP” stands for “Image Platform”), can be found on all imageRUNNER models.
Canon’s MEAP architecture (Multifunctional Embedded Application Program) has been a significant addition to Canon’s controller strategy. It’s featured on most of its mid-to-high-volume models. The MEAP platform features an open architecture for providing custom software applications, some for private use and others sold on the open market as add-on products from third parties.
