Product Overview
Canon’s new imageCLASS LBP325dn is a compact printer intended for small workgroups within a larger company. It prints at up to 45 ppm and comes with the Canon Custom Processor, 1 GB of memory (not expandable), and a five-line LCD control panel.
First-print-out time is 5.6 seconds. The LBP325dn supports Canon’s proprietary printing language, as well as PCL and PostScript. USB and Ethernet are standard. Users can directly print JPEG, PDF, and TIFF files.
Mobile and cloud printing is also supported. Users can print from their mobile devices using any of the following apps: Apple AirPrint, Canon PRINT Business, Mopria Print Service, uniFLOW Secure Mobile Printing or Google Cloud Print.
Canon offers an optional uniFLOW solution that helps companies better manage their output. Deployed on-premise, it allows administrators to track their printing costs. There’s also the imageWARE Enterprise Management Console, which is used to manage the entire Canon printer fleet from one location.
More details on the device is in our Features section below.
Features
The imageCLASS LBP325dn includes a 550-sheet paper tray and a 100-sheet bypass. Canon offers an optional 550-sheet paper feeder (that consists of up to three trays), adding to a maximum paper capacity of 2,300 sheets. All paper trays accept up to 8.5″ x 14″ paper.
The output capacity is 150 sheets. Duplex printing is supported. The recommended monthly page volume is between 2,000 and 7,500 pages.
Additional printing features are secure print, page border, header/footer, page layout, collating, booklet printing, grouping and mixed paper sizes and orientation.
The LBP325dn ships with a standard toner cartridge of 5,100 pages. Canon offers a high-yield aftermarket toner cartridge that yields 21,000 pages. Unfortunately, we don’t have the information to calculate the cost per page. Aside from using the high-yield cartridge, businesses can save on printing expenses by taking advantage of Canon’s environmental features, such as duplexing.
Security features include department ID authentication, secure print and IP/MAC address filtering.
The standard limited warranty is for one year. However, users can optionally purchase one-year, two-year, three-year or four-year warranty packages to extend it.
